Jim Rutherford says Hurricanes are not actively shopping Jeff Skinner but would have to at least consider a significant offer for him.

That and I think Kypreos mentioned Skinner's name earlier.

That's fine...except you complained that JR did the same thing last year for Staal.

And then there's the problem of trading 3 first round picks in a row. Not the smartest asset management

And I complained that JR did not use his leverage last year to make the best trade for the Canes. They are two separate situations and my point stands on both.

And do I really get nicked for trading three first-round picks in a row when the middle one was traded to get a *higher* first-round pick? It's not like we'd be not making a pick in the first round for three years in a row. We'd have SETH JONES.

Yep, I think you guys are right.

And JR told chip at the lottery that we would have taken Jones if we had the 1st overall pick. Things could have changed since then, but he was probably 1 or 2.

Same. Rumors were that we were in talks with Buffalo, Toronto, Philly, but JR said it'd put us further down in the draft than we'd have wanted so that probably puts Buffalo out.
