Agreed. I'm betting Yakemchuk will get far more love on NHL draft lists than he's getting on public lists and this forum. Massive season in the Dub. I think he'll go ahead of several of the forwards we've been debating about as potential Habs picks.

Yeah, Yakemchuk is probably going top 10. It's going to be a really interesting draft after one, that's for sure. There's a lot of quality between 2-12. It drops after that. First time in a long time I'm not really worried about who we'll pick. We're getting a good player.

The next three players on my list are still pretty big possible game changers, can't wait to make my next pick.
I think i know 2 of them, the other guys I wanted for my pick, interested to see who is left for the Habs around 24/25

The Las Vegas Golden Knights of Universe 567-3B would like to thank MarkovsKnee for holding up well enough to host this lovely draft. We would also like to congratulate the Salt Lake City Polygamists for winning the Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup.

With the 21st overall pick in the 2024 draft, Vegas selects Adam Jiricek of HC Plzen. Potential #1 RDs at 21 are a no-brainer.

Next person will be PMed

Alright, Alright, Alright.

Chicago is proud to select, with the 22nd pick in the 2024 entry draft, from Medicine Hat, Andrew Basha!

With Basha, we feel we are getting a player that will be able to play all over the line-up and that will compliment the elite skill-level of Connor Bedard and Ivan Demidov. He may be used in a checking role or on the top lines. We just found our very own Ondrej Palat, real glue guy.

2. Chicago - Ivan Demidov (W) - SKA (MHL)
22. Chicago (from TB) - Andrew Basha (W) - Medicine Hat (WHL)

I figure he's exactly what they need at this point, but also a lot of what they like. He should fit in really well with the likes of Moore, Nazar, Lardis, Hayes, Greene, Dach, Ludwinski they've added. They're all smaller though, which sucks because they'll have to find a way to add size in that top 9, but they've been targeting high-compete forwards a lot.

Basha-Bedard-XX
Nazar-XX-Demidov
Dickinson-Moore-Lardis

Super small top 9 but if they can find that elusive big C and big RW it might work. Ultimately, I don't think they go with Demidov as Lindstrom, Levshunov, Iginla actually fit a need for them and they're close enough in ability. I just couldn't pass up the talent personally.

Their Nazar and Moore pick are starting to hurt the team building aspects of things IMO, but they went BPA and I cannot fault them.
