I suspect, as many others do, that Norris is not 100% ready to play. It seems like a replay from last season. I think he would have played one game by now if he were fully healthy.

I felt like he wouldn’t play in Sudbury, I thought 2 of the last 3.

2-3 games is often what the final roster plays.

Last year, Batherson, Tkachuk, Chabot, giroux, Tank, Chychrun, Sanderson, JBD and Joseph all played 2-3 games in preseason, so Norris getting into 2 would be pretty normal, though those games might be spread out more normally.

I’m ready to split up tkachuk stutzle giroux.

Don’t think stutzle fits with them. They need a more straight line predictable player like pinto or Norris.
Stutzle has been good with batherson before. I’d like to see that.

Tkachuk-Pinto-Giroux
Perron-Stutzle-Batherson
Cousins-Greig-Amadio
Gregor-Jenik/Ostapchuk/Gaudette-Macewen

That looks pretty solid imo considering Norris isn’t in there.

No hot takes here but 7 games in preseason followed by 82 reg season games is absolutely ridiculous.

The season is already too long. And then they add another 7 meaningless games on top of that??

5 preseason games.
76 regular season games.

Regulars only play 2 or 3 preseason games, the other ones are for guys competing for spots, nobody is playing 89 preseason/reg season games.

If they went to 5 preseason games, you're left to decide between do the regulars get enough games to find their legs, or do we evaluate fringe guys.

Might be a knee-jerk reaction but I would love to see Ottawa bring in Zenon Konopka as a coach/advisor/consultant. He was a beast both with his fists and at face-offs. Skills this team could really benefit from having in practice.
