This needs to move faster.

I veto a 4 hour clock.

Lets notify GMs twice, once when its their pick and another once their pick is the next pick. So well be running with two persons knowing the clock is moving for them.
What's the rush? It's the weekend. Not everyone spends it in front of their computer.

Not sure how he hasn't been chosen yet... but I'll snatch him 50+ slots past where I have him ranked:
The Toronto Maple Leafs are proud to select from Farjestad BK U20 Team,
defenseman Albert Johansson

Will PM next GM

Damn. Borderline first line value there.

I mean, I'm not either, but we can still do better than 5 picks in 48 hours.

I scanned every single post just to double check that he wasn't picked

I though I had a third, so I picked Misyul knowing he'd be gone thinking I would either be able to pick Holmstrom or Johanson with my third. They both went under the radar in the draft thread. Holmstrom I've been holding on talking about him for weeks for this reason lol.

I did a lot of the strategy picking thing... I reached over my list two times in three picks... It failed miserably. I picked Constantinou @ #64 thinking he would've been an easy target for most, and I thought Teply, Firstov, Jones or Johansson would be there for my pick at #91....

Went Rees over Robertson, thinking the U18 would make him a target and one of the two Robertson would fall to my pick

I'm not as smart as I think I am.

With the 87th pick, the San Jose Sharks select, from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL RW

Alex Beaucage
SPO-Alex-Beaucage-Courtoisie-Ian-Clermont-Huskies-Rouyn-Noranda-5-e1553096973325.jpg
Scouting report: A nifty offensive player with great stickhandling abilities, Beaucage can both dish and finish. Has become a nice sized winger with his growth spurt and with it he has grown into a nice prospect flows with the games tempo all 200 feet. Quickly gets to open ice and displays light edging and makes himself available for receptions, and can gain inside position and cut hard to the net. Blocks shots. Has room to put more weight on his frame and he can get quicker as get comfortable with his taller / larger size. A finisher who was third on his team in scoring with 39 Goals, 79 Assist in 68 games. Handles the puck well at top gear and reads the ice well, usually anticipating a step ahead of the play. A longer term developmental guy whose needle is pointing upward.

I would be absolutely chuffed if the Habs pick Spence and Johansson with their 2nds in the upcoming draft. Since I think we're likely to go forward taking two defenseman in the second round could totally work. They're both 1st round talents for me. I like the defensemen in this 20-60 range a lot more than the forwards.

Id hope for at least one of Kolyanochok, Kniazev, Bjornfoot, Robertson, Seider or Misyul with our first 2nd rounder, but yeah, Spence and Johansson with CBJ's pick would be amazing.

This team really does need more picks in the top 3 rounds, the fifth rounders are going to be useless IMO, there's not much depth in this draft.

Should make the pick in about 20min, was glad Beaucage fell to me, then shit happened.

(Beaucage at 87 is really nice)

Edit:

Edmonton Oilers are proud to select, from the Charlottetown Islanders, in the QMJHL, F Nikita Alexandrov !

_DSC4735_large.JPG

"Alexandrov acts as a solid centreman for the Islanders. He doesn’t have the biggest frame at 6’0’’ and 179 pounds, nor is he the fastest skater around, but he is hard to knock off his skates and is at ease playing in heavy traffic.

His offensive game is based on driving the net. He doesn’t bulldoze his way there, but instead relies on a combination of physicality and awareness to slip through the defence to attack the doorstep. He protects the puck well with his body and he keeps his head up to find holes in the goalie’s coverage.

He flashes agile hands and will sometimes string together two or three moves to create space for himself. He can also be quite deceptive in those sequences, reading the defence and adjusting the position of the puck to keep possession under pressure. Beyond his net drives and board work, Alexandrov is also a smart passer with the vision to find his teammates in scoring areas. He can act both as a setup man and scorer.

Main knock on him is his inconsistency, as he shows flashes of skill that wows you, then revert to a more basic type of game for a long time." (David St-Louis, 2019 NHL Draft prospect profile: Nikita Alexandrov is a solid pivot who flashes high-level skill)

Next GM will be PMed

8- C Trevor Zegras
38- G Spencer Knight
88- C Nikita Alexandrov

With the 89th pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.. the Boston Bruins are proud to select.. from the Tri City Americans of the Western Hockey League, RW - Sasha Mutala

"Mutala opened eyes at the Ivan Hlinka this year with his scrappy play. He showed a willingness to go to the front of the net to disrupt the goalie and tip picks. His non-stop motor made him an asset on the penalty kill where he brought energy to the team. Mutala has great speed and some offensive upside that we believe has been tempered or hidden on a Tri City team that was not very deep and didn't have a lot of offensive weapons. We see Mutala as a deluxe third liner at the next level."
