I'm watching the game. Larsson is finally living up to his potential or what? He's been great.

They can compete with Edmonton with Myers. The team was exceedingly healthy until about three weeks ago and they still needed a stretch of white-hot goaltending and then unsustainable shooting to eke out wins that helped us ascend to, what, 25th? This team, with or without Myers, is every bit as bad, or worse, than Edmonton.

The team is just regressing to the mean.

I agree that Edmonton is the better team even with Myers. However his presence without question hurts the tank. In any given game he gives them the possibility to pull off a lucky win. At this point its pretty clear that without him this team has almost no chance at even a bs win. With him, victory is still extremely unlikely but at least possible.

Yotes breaking it open. 6-2 now. Looks like a Yotes win, Devils win and Sabres loss.

Islanders and Oil tomorrow night.

An upset would be delicious.

Something else "nice" for the tank:

Among games played:

Buffalo: GP -- 40. Home - 22; Away -- 18
Carolina: GP -- 38. Home - 17; Away - 21
Arizona: GP -- 38. Home - 18; Away - 20
Edmonton: GP -- 39. Home - 20; Away - 19

The way I see this, Carolina is likely to gain 4 pts on us just from the home/away splits. Ditto Arizona.

Edmonton's home/away split is concerning......but then again, so is the whole team.

Hall has a hot streak in him to grab some extra wins.. right... hopefully

We're like an 18 wheeler falling off a cliff right now. At this rate we might be 30th by the All-Star break.

8 ROW wins in 40 games (last year we had 14), 0 since December 13th, - 59 goal differential almost double the 28th place team. - 26 in last 10 games. Boy did regression ever come fast and furious.

An Edmonton win tonight would be awesome
aha awesome and edmonton are never even muttered in the same sentence. The saying for tonight is, "lets hope Edmonton doesn't get slaughtered" by a team averaging 3 goals a game against a team who can't find a goaltender worthy enough for the AHL everynight.

The Sabres are 7-3 in OT/Shootouts.

Edmonton is 1-9.

If they lose out on McEichel because of ******* shootouts, it's going to be hard to take.

14-4 shots on goal in the 1st period.. You would think it would be Boston with 14.. Nope, Carolina.. With a 1-0 lead too!!

Carolina will pass Buffalo very soon. These teams won't even be close at the end of the year. Its Edmonton vs Buffalo

I never thought I'd root for Carolina to win games after that playoff series but here it goes... I hope their games are as lopsided and ugly as Brind'Amour's face.

They move out Tlusty and more importantly, Sekera, that team can tank just as much as us.

Tlusty is no better than Stafford, and, in fact, I prefer Drew. Sekera is a loss, but not enough to make up the chasm between us and them, especially with two healthy Staals.
