Nah, I know several sites that people claim are great for baseball and hockey and more often than not they aren't great. For basically $20 a month I'm cool with paying to get all my Flames, Jays & WWE content. I suddenly got random texts. Not one, two, or even ten. Try like 60. All from different numbers. Then the calls started raining in.
Why would someone add my number to a party chat line? If it was even that. I can't even imagine.
I'm pretty good handling stuff on android. But this took me off guard. First encounter with this. Voicemail after voicemail. Ugh.
Finally have it sorted. I think. All seems quiet. Nothing coming in.
Anyone have any advice?

All I can suggest is blocking the numbers ad reporting them as spam, but if someone added your number to something like that, I don't know if it'd help because different people would call each time.
If it happens again I'd contact your service provider and tell them you are being harassed and would like to change your number. Telus was really good at waiving any fees for me when I'd get tons of wrong numbers when I worked overnight shifts. Bell not so much, they charged me a fee. Rogers I just went back to after getting tired of Bell and wanting teh discount for being a Shaw customer.

Let's hope this is a one-off then.
Personally I don't care what my number is, but mine is easy to remember because the final 4 digits I remember by thinking of the number of hours in a day and the last time the Leafs won a cup.
just to add... with those coming from just 4 numbers, they may go through a service and that might be all the numbers for the service, so you may be good.

I was just a kid when that happened. Not even yet really exposed to hip hop or rap at all. 96? Frick. Turned 11 in August that year. It wasn't until Grade 9 when I really started going through a phase of listening to the genre.
Didn't even have internet at that time yet at my house lol.

Looks like I'm about 6 years older than you... I didn't have the internet back then either.
I used to record Rap City and Vibe on Much Music with the VCR every day. Then I used RCA cables to hook teh VCR to the Audio in on my dad's stereo and would make mix tapes from the videos.
Eventually by the time I got access to BET, I had my first computer and just downloaded everything and made hundreds of mixed CDS... I still have multiple large spindles of mix CDs I made back in the early 00s.
Luuuuucky. I'm positive I've forgotten so, so many gems from my younger years that unless I just stumble upon them randomly I'll never hear again.
I lost my massive burned disc collection in a house fire unfortunately.

Why even comment when you are going to just say you don't care about someone getting murdered? Even if they were all gang bangers (they weren't), they are still people with friends and families that loved them.
@Intrama when I started getting a billion spam emails I didn’t sign up for, I found out it was someone who had hacked my Amazon account and ordered $1000 worth of stereo equipment. Apparently the spam emails are so you don’t notice the Amazon emails about the stuff.
Luckily I noticed it on the credit card and disputed it right away, but it was definitely a pain to unsubscribe from anything.
I’m not saying yours is similar, but anything out of the ordinary should trigger some sort of alarm bells.

I find it difficult to feel sympathy or compassion for someone involved in the gang lifestyle that lives by the sword and ends up dying by the sword... particularly when so many innocents have also been killed in the wielding of those swords. And let me clearly say... Tupac was no innocent... just like Davies who I hope spends the rest of his life rotting in prison.
I appreciate you responding. Since moving out of a bad situation and getting myself fully sober I've had attempted breaches of my Google account. Someone tried using a letter from the government (remember when we needed to sign up through some Alberta government website for some benefit recently? Whatever that was..) and I got notified about that.
It's been completely quiet for months now. Then this happens. It freaks me out thinking my ex roommate could be still trying something.
I'll definitely be watching everything, absolutely everything for anything out of ordinary. Thank you!

No one said he was innocent, but you're just assuming a car full of black men are criminals and gang-bangers. It's tone deaf at best and racist at worst. Sometimes it's better to just not say anything than out yourself.
Since when did I say anything about the color of anyone's skin in either car? There are plenty of Caucasians, Latinos, and Asians out there that are criminals and gang bangers. For me this has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the gang lifestyle so I would appreciate it if you don't put words in my mouth and imply that I'm a racist.
