Alberta wasn't so much snowy as it was cold all weekend long. A lot of the major roads like Deerfoot were pretty scary to drive on during the weekend nights.

I shovelled out my sidewalks but the snowplows running right now are garbage. The Okanagan is not prepared for heavy snowfall like this. We usually get max 10 cm at a time.

I know that feel. I live in Lethbridge, and even though we have a fleet of vehicles that plow and gravel the roads, I feel like they're always too late to be effective.

Which is partly why I decided I am going back to Lethbridge tomorrow. That, and I'm just too lazy to load up the truck before the WJC games today.

My sister messages me in the morning. She found $20 buried in the snow while she was shoveling the parking lot at work. My dad's in Arizona and he said he drove to Vegas on $22 worth of gas, so I told my sister she found a trip to Vegas haha

At least they're up. I start Wednesday and none of my courses have their online portions out yet. In fact, when I checked, it was still everything from last semester that was still up.

Ugh. Like I get that it was Christmas break but there's no excuse when class starts in 2 or 3 days. Some of us like to be prepared.
