Ugh. Like I get that it was Christmas break but there's no excuse when class starts in 2 or 3 days. Some of us like to be prepared.

It's reason #3 I haven't left for Lethbridge, yet. I was going to go get my textbooks for the semester tomorrow, but they're having the new student orientation tomorrow, and one of my classes doesn't have a book list posted online unlike the rest of them. I'd buy them on Amazon, but they're either within $10 of the bookstore price, or written by professors at the University.

I think Mount Royal is one of the last schools in Calgary that still use Blackboard. They used to wait until we did our upgrades at the UofC before they did theirs until we stopped upgrading and moving to a different system altogether hahaha
What is U of C using? Honestly thought they used Blackboard but since my gf graduated from there I haven't really kept up with it haha

Makes sense. I have a tendency to wait until after the first class to see if we actually need to get the textbooks or not, so maybe that class doesn't need any books?

We're on Desire2Learn now. We moved off almost a year ago, so it's still pretty fresh. Most of the schools in Calgary are on that system now (particularly Calgary Board of Education), which is what influenced our decision to switch.

Oh, we used that when I was at SAIT. I actually like Blackboard better.

Rotting away in class. 30 people in a fairly small class that feels like we're in a sauna. 2 hours today, 8 hours altogether this week in that room. Basically melting away.

Just had an incident with Dominoes Pizza. We called them and ordered our Pizza's, then they randomly put us on on hold. The manager came on the phone and said we ripped off the delivery guy by $3.15 the last time we ordered from there. I ordered the Pizza for me and my sister when both my parents were out of town. I always tip the delivery guys at least a couple of dollars and the max 5. Anyways my mother was't impressed and the manager was saying " I'm not saying it was you, do you have a son or something coulda been him". Me mother said " Yes, I have a son and he is an adult, he isn't an idiot." "We will take this order and this will be the last time we order from you!" She hung up on him while he was trying to plead something. That escalated quickly. Dominoes just lost a frequent customer lol.

What a ****ing moron, the manager, not your mom. Even if you did short them $3.15 on the last delivery that is on his delivery guy, it is their job to count the money. If they count it wrong or give the wrong change that is on them not the customer. As someone in hospitality this kind of **** seriously pisses me off. I have stopped dealing with many businesses for less.

Also who calls Dominoes for delivery? I order that **** online because it tells you when its on its way.
