Us asthmatics sure don't miss it. Nothing like pounding a Big Mac meal and sucking back some Ventolin to negate the second hand in my lungs.

Where do you live. I'm unemployed right now and cheap.
Ventolin was as bad for your lungs as the smoke that caused you to use your inhaler, but I feel your pain, it was a different era.............

The high school I went to had a student smoking lounge…
so did mine, although you had to go outside to the toking area if you wanted to smoke the good stuff.........

I'm pretty sure Salbutamol - if not abused - has little to no side effects and certainly nothing as bad as smoking. I've been using it for almost 40 years now.

This long Covid isn’t going away for me. I’ve had it now for over a year. I’ve been off work six weeks now with severe nausea. I would rather be at work than dealing with this crap (and I have a sucky job lol).

Sorry to hear man, that really sucks. I had it for a bit too, but mine only lasted a couple of months.

I've been doing okay with the nic pouches for quitting, almost 20 years at about a pack a day.

I started doing 10 a day, scaling back by two every week, currently at 8/, haven't had a cig in about two weeks and I'll drop it down to 6/ and a lower nicotene dosage on Friday.

Kind of realizing though it's not the smoking itself entirely but the habits around it that I've gotta break; no more waking up, pouring a coffee and having a few smokes in the morning, I usually try to wait 30-60 minutes before popping my first pouch. Things like waiting a bit after meals, not having one before bed etc., are also helping.

I'm already noticing my skin becoming more smooth and no tickle in my throat when I try to sleep.

Not as a health thing since outwardly at least I'm in good shape, not as a money thing since my brand is cheap, but it's just time. I'd like to quit wholesale in 2-3 weeks but even if I can get to a place where I'm using them intermittently, like 1-2 a day, it's a win.

As for drinking I've pretty much had to cut it back to 2 days a week max out of necessity. Can I still drink like I did when I was 23? Yeah I can, more even. What I can't do is drink like I did at 23 and do anything productive before 3 PM the next day or get a full uninterrupted 7 hours.
