Went to the TFC game last night.

Grab a bite before the game from a vendor outside the stadium, cost $21 for a sausage ($9), hot dog ($8) and a bottle of water ($4). (Whatever happened to the days of grabbing a sausage and pop for $5?)

Inside the stadium a bag of popcorn and a bottle of iced tea cost $20.

On top of that, everything in the stadium is cashless, so when they pass you the terminal, they still have the audacity to prompt you on the first screen with a tip amount (ummm...how about 0).

Absolutely criminal. Regardless if you can afford it or not.

Here's some ads for used guitars. I'm thinking of buying one of these guitars and since there a few people here that know a ton more about guitars than I do, I thought I'd ask what you guys think. My motivation here is that I want to try a guitar with P90s, I only want lightweight guitars going forward, and there's something about the simplicity of the LP Junior with I find attractive and these all seem to be inspired by that design.

The top two are the ones I'm leaning towards. I have one Godin already so I know they make great guitars. Two pickups isn't always better than one, I think these are probably both great guitars, maybe the smart play is to choose the one that's 150 bucks cheaper and comes with a gig bag but on the other hand who knows, maybe the prices are negotiable (1000 seems a bit high maybe for that one). Or maybe the one with just the 1 pickup is the best choice for me as I do love the simplicity, and it doesn't get much simpler than that.

Anyhow, I won't have the cash for another week or two probably so I have some time to think about it and I thought I'd ask you guys if you have any opinions on this. I don't play very well but when I do play, I play mostly blues and classic rock.

Not sure how big an issue this is, I was surprised to learn that anyone would even make a guitar with no tone controls but it's PRS, they know what they're doing and they did it so maybe it's fine? TBH I just don't know what to think.

At first I was thinking this is fantastic, then I noticed that the pickup is not a P90, but a P180. Never heard of these before but it sounds like this maybe more like a humbucker than a P90 and if that's true, then that's a deal breaker as what I'm really after is a guitar with P90s. Though I suppose I could swap out the pickup for a P90, that's always possible and I assume it wouldn't cost too much to get that done.

I'm a big guitar guy, but sorry i don't have any advise regarding either PRS and Godin. I have heard very good things about Godin (i believe they are all made in Canada which is cool).

I am predominantly a fender player, but i also own a couple gretsches and an epiphone casino.

Honestly i would recommend a mexican made fender guitar above any other guitar. They can be found at good prices used and there will always be a market for them if you choose to move on. PLus there's a reason why companies like Godin and PRS have their "versions" of stratocaster and telecasters. Because they're the best.

Also i see one of the ads is from Pauls Boutique. Great store. my favorite. I have bought a few things from them over the years including my main guitar (mexican made jazzmaster).

Can’t go wrong buying from a respected Canadian company, love the tone of a quality P90 pickup imo…….

I've bought 9 guitars so far, one's a keeper and it's a Godin.

My favorite was a Player Strat but I decided it was too heavy for me. In the end I'm probably a strat guy though it's fun to try out all kinds of other guitars. The new player II series that just dropped apparently has chambered versions coming out in September, those will probably be light enough so maybe I'll buy one. I'm also considering a used American Professional made with roasted pine, those are light enough and this one's available now for 1900 and if that's still available when I get the cash together I just might go for that. Would cost about 500 more than a new Player but it looks like it's in good shape and I love the way it looks!

Agreed. And I definitely want to get a guitar with P90s one day, though now I'm thinking I might get something else first.

It'll probably take a while to decide. I'm the kind of guy who stares at the menu for 20 minutes, then orders something and as soon as the server walks away I'm thinking I should've ordered something else. But it's so much fun to think about which guitar to buy, so many guitars out there and so little time ...
