Damn that's nice, are those P90s? Been meaning to get something with P90s for a while now
Taylor Swift has gone beyond being a musician. I'm not saying she isn't talented, because she very much is, but at this point she is a conglomerate. She is this generation's version of Michael Jackson. She is an event rather than a musician.plays is a ... well, reach.
she strums a guitar, yes.
musicians like Miley Cyrus are better examples of pop stars who are actually immensely talented.
Gf and I used Lime E-scooters all weekend in Seattle a few weeks back when we went for the jays series and had an absolute blast bombing around downtown on them. The tap & go system with the app made it super easy to access any time, it’s quite literally like the South Park episode, they are everywhere. It means you’re untraveled, never visited Europe and learned how great a service like Bolt or any tap and go rental system is.
Give me 00s Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton over Swift any day!! I don't get the "hype" talent or no.when Taylor Swift is the most popular thing going, actual instruments and bands are the last things thought of.
bubblegum pop rock is where it's at these days.
I don't imagine you're the target audience even though she is a really talented musician.Give me 00s Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton over Swift any day!! I don't get the "hype" talent or no.
I'm typically not Michelle Branchs target audience per say too, but got into her stuff and even saw her live haha. Not totally the same style of music , but in the Female pop/rock genre. Never said she wasn't was just stating some people don't find her talented, to me Dosnt matter cuz I didn't get into her stuff. Which is fine.I don't imagine you're the target audience even though she is a really talented musician.
Not my taste in music either but to deny that she's very talented is a little silly.
I don't see how that is possible.I'm typically not Michelle Branchs target audience per say too, but got into her stuff and even saw her live haha. Anything is possible unfortunately. People mistake not liking a band with "not talented"I don't see how that is possible.
I depends what scale of talent drives people. There is proficiency and then there is creativity. Personally, I couldnt name one TS song but I've heard them. Just wasn't memorable to me. Don't hate it but I probably wouldnt put it on a playlist for personal listening.I don't see how that is possible.
That guitarist isn't human man.....I depends what scale of talent drives people. There is proficiency and then there is creativity. Personally, I couldnt name one TS song but I've heard them. Polyphia is a band that blows me away from a proficiency and innovative perspective. The stuff they do is not only fresh and new but virtually impossible to reproduce from anyone who isnt a musicical master.
Their drummer is damn good, as well. That guitarist isn't human man.....
Drummer bassist and second guitar are freaks too...but you are right...Henson is scaryThat guitarist isn't human man.....
I loved Albert's Hall - used to practice with my band at the Y on Spadina, then go over to Albert's and jam.Yeah I miss the days when there were live bands playing in bars all over the place. Being a blues fan, I miss Alberts Hall most of all, I loved that place so much.
Maybe it was just one within city of Toronto limits not sure, just going by what someone told me. We used to go to the place at Front/Sherbourne, I loved that place. First time I went there about 10 years ago, I opened the front door and it was like I smacked in the face by this massive cloud of pot smoke, loved that.
I've jammed a bunch at Jam Chamber near Downsview. Clean rooms, great gear and the owners are super nice people.Theres a bunch still around. Rehearsal Factory did close all but one location, which is just monthly rooms now. (My band got lucky and snagged a room starting September)
But I do agree there definitely is less places now than before. Really good place for hourly rooms is Groove Room over at Kiplling/Evens. Nice size rooms, AC, vending machine up front that also sells beers and weed lol
Wow, had not heard them before. Thanks for the tip.I depends what scale of talent drives people. There is proficiency and then there is creativity. Awesome. Haven’t seen them live for a long time, can’t pin it. Saw them at Lollapolza, then one after that was last time. Next time through T.O. gotta make a point of it.I am also going to Metallica both shows with my bud. Our plan is to just be drinking the whole time. Downloaded a bunch of old Nicolas Cage movies to keep us entertained. Planning to do 0 city exploration or leaving the house except for getting more booze. My friend has a 6 year old with autism, so talk about being mentally broken.
1…….. And Justice For AllAwesome. Haven’t seen them live for a long time, can’t pin it. Saw them at Lollapolza, then one after that was last time. Next time through T.O. gotta make a point of it.
Anyone want to play favourite Metallica album lol. Impossible game. Best I can do is narrow it down to first 4. I get down to 2 albums in RtL and MoP playing that game, but then think, ya but Blitzkkreig, Whiplash, Am I Evil, Blackened, Shortest Straw, One, how you leaving out Justice and Kill ‘Em All?
Still playing with the the idea of trying to grab GNR tickets, huge fan, but caught them through the last couple times already.
Seeing GNR is a couple weeks.Awesome. Haven’t seen them live for a long time, can’t pin it. Saw them at Lollapolza, then one after that was last time. Next time through T.O. gotta make a point of it.

Last night was Randy Bachman in a small venue. What a great show, so many stories. Crazy that he’ll be 80 next month.

Do you practice at a rehearsal space or in one of your garage/basements?
