It's hazy as far south as Alabama--my mother mentioned it. I've been staying inside for the most part. Friend from Canada mentioned the heat caused a 3 degree temperature increase (not sure if he was talking Fahrenheit or Celsius, still warmish either way!) and it was very hazy there. He lives in Ontario, pretty sure.Quebec is burning. I'm here on the NY/PA border and my eyes are burning. 600 million acres.

I saw a picture of NYC where the sky looked a little orange. It made some Chinese people homesick according to the headline. My writer buddy* in NYC posted pics from 2 days ago and then again yesterday. First was sepia, yesterday was a bit hazy but you could still see blue skies. Glad it's getting better.
It goes up and down here--no real rhyme or reason that I can figure out. I got gas about a week ago and it was $2.98 at my favorite station. Today it's $3.19 there but it went up to $3.39 in the interim. I saw one place in Mt. Juliet at $3.59 on Saturday and another at $3.34.Last week gas was $3.34. Yesterday, I passed a station at $3.89. Either it is a very large spread or a very large jump!
