Made a cup of looseleaf tea, add equal, accidentally dropped half a stroopwaffle in the tea. f***ing delicious.

Normal application is place the stroopwaffle over the tea. The heat from the tea melts the caramel in the cookie. BUT when put into the tea, the caramel sugars the tea, and the waffle adds Vanilla flavor.

30 and a foot of snow here in South Dakota
I am surprised that it made the news. My dad had a photo of a road grader where the snow is piled up as high as the top of safety cage. It must have been 8 feet high. I don't know where it was taken in South Dakota. The when would have been during the Great Depression, probably 1936 to 1940.

In Wisconsin, we have had snow storms in each of the last three weeks. One left behind 9 inches at my house. It is time for Old Man Winter to take a vacation!

Fortunately we're sunny and 70s here in South Dakota now too. I used to think Tennessee had erratic weather but it is truly next level out here. Went from shoveling a foot of snow to wearing shorts in one week.

We did have a sixty degree swing in a day--it was around Christmas, if not that actual day. Lots of shrubbery in the area is just gone. It might come back from the roots, might not, even Bates nursery people don't know (and they know plants!) No real pattern -- I have some losses right next to survival stories but we'll have to replace all the boxwoods, dogwoods, althea (rose of sharon) and herbs. Mint survived, I think it has alligator DNA.

We lost everything but the crape myrtle, which must be kin to your mint...

Yeah we lost some too. I think 1 boxwood is going to make it, the other won't. Some rose bushes made it, others didn't. As long as the one our friend sent when my mother in law died makes it I don't care about the rest.

I'm sorta glad to hear this because I was thinking my painting contractors had done something to kill my landscaping. I have 6 big beautiful azaleas that normally are all blooming right now. One is fairly decent, 3 have just a few blooms and two look dead. All my Nandinas look dead and four huge lilly bushes are all crispy.

Our Hydrangeas are just now getting leaves let alone blooming so it may take a bit. We are still getting some pretty cool mornings down here in southern Tennessee and considering how hard they got hit it may all be pushed back.

My next door neighbor's azaleas are mostly dead branches, no flowers at all but a bit of green here and there. My nandinas are interesting. Don't have a leaf on them and are dry and brown but when I checked a stem it had...maybe? some green. So I'm leaving them for the time being.

The althea/rose of sharon tree shot out some leaves after all.

Pink dogwood is gone for sure, though.

Edit: while I was at work today the nandinas popped out. @PredsV82 Hang in there. They're like mint and oregano... weeds in disguise.

I'm listening.
Something specific or general malaise?

Just MS acting up, I was stupid and drain a LOT of caffeine for NFL draft, which flairs up my MS.

Now? Got my MS 'oil change' and my pretreatment was Benedril and Xanax. So...AMA anyone? LOL!
