Power went out here in SC NY, 7F 20 MPH gusts. Pipes frozen and ice on the INSIDE of out garage. Power is back and house is hot.

Snow is so beautiful. I mean, you can see those pictures from New York and people died but... damn, those are hauntingly beautiful pictures of snow swallowing things, no? Whereas tornadoes or tsunamis or whatever come in and they just blow everything up and those look like total devastation. But snow...

You sure it was Alabama and not...Alaska maybe? Northern AL is getting into the 60's. Not sure what part of NY you're in (Binghamton?) but it and Buffalo are just getting into the 40's

You just have to be VERY VERY specific when requesting particular types of weather! Weather Gods have a notoriously evil sense of humor.

So @BigFatCat999's laptop has an issue with the display (probable short in the display cable). I offered to try to fix it.

Unfortunately, the display is secured in the assembly with adhesieve which broke partway through, and thus damaged the display itself, so now we're waiting for the replacement for that part as well.

In pseudo-retaliation, he made me post this: Proposal: - San Jose - Nashville, for a friend

(I'm paying for the display. And there was going to be a wait anyways 'cause we're also doing a memory upgrade but those are taking a while to arrive.)
 
Do any of you do season recording of the Preds on Xfinity? I’m having an issue that just started today where it is only recording center ice channels. But I think the reason why must be because the guide isn’t getting updated properly. I see no preds games scheduled anywhere for next couple of weeks other than center ice. Nothing on Bally’s.

Anyone else have this issue?

Actually just looked at the television schedule and the next several games are supposed to be on Bally’s. But my guide shows world poker tour on Thursday, women’s basketball on Friday.

I don’t even know who to mention this to in order to get it corrected…

I don't really do season recordings but I went onto the Xfinity streaming site on the computer and did a search for Nashville Predators. From there it showed a lot of Live and Upcoming shows and gives the option to record team. It also has replays. Maybe it would be easier to do it from there than from the TV. I usually do but mainly because our downstairs TV is the one they connected to "recording" (we never upgraded) and the one I usually use isn't that one.

I do. Not unusual to have Xfinity trouble in my area of far NE Tennessee. A couple days ago it did not show any Preds games this week on Bally. Then it did show last nights game so I saw it was going to be recorded. When I joined to watch about an hour in, so I can skip through breaks and intermissions, it showed the game was not available. But then it was on live so I started recording it then. Also recorded the replay so I could see the first period goals and it did record the whole game. I may have to check all week that the game is actually recording, if not I'll manually record it or the replay.

I just ran across this post from November.

Yesterday, I stopped in at Sam's Club for gas at $2.56. The darn station 6 blocks from my house is $3.09. That 53 cents a gallon is the biggest spread that I can remember. I saved $5 by not going there. They must sell a lot of Mega Bucks tickets to stay in business?
