Agreed. Those discussions are honestly needed. Sad to see it closed.

Oh well.
It kind of goes to the last few posts about nuance and willingness to discuss things. I don't really see how you can properly discuss the pandemic without bringing in politics, because the two are intertwined to a high degree. If this site isn't the place for that discussion, fair enough, but I think it's unfortunate that the discussion has to be neutered like that. Oh well indeed.

Sad place we’re in as a society.

In the past 35 years, we as a society have forgotten how to talk reasonably with a person that has different views. It isn't just in America either.

I had a delightful morning. Jailbait Jr is now in 8th grade and on the volleyball team at Valor. They were in a tournament today and lost BUT she got in some good saves and shots and was named Captain. I played intermurals and church leagues so it's fun watching a new generation take to the court.

I went to Rutledge Falls and the Old Stone Fort on Thursday. Rutledge Falls is basically a watering hole for the locals to swim in. The Old Stone Fort was interesting but it's more about the area and its history than about any particular falls. There's so much local history to explore within an hour or so from Nashville.

Went out to Old Hickory Dam yesterday, didn’t see much of the trail because we got caught in downpour. Hoping to get out to Cedars of Lebanon Labor Day.

melatonin, where have you been all my life! (Insert, Volde's sarcastic comment on drug stores, here.)
Didn’t I recommend that to you a few weeks ago? Has helped my sleeping pattern return to more normalcy and notice a definite difference in quality of rest when I forget to take it!

There comes a time in life when you are moving and downsizing that you realize it is time to throw away those team calendars dating back to 2004, as well as that wheelbarrow full of programs. She Who Must Be Obeyed strongly encourages it.

My solution to paper memorabilia piling up involves a scanner (or occasionally my phone's camera), a shredder, and regular backups. With exceptions for very select or particular items. I'd been poking at it on and off for the last ten years or so, but with the start of the pandemic... cut my storage space requirements by two thirds already and still have one and a half boxes of paperwork to go. :)

I can't do that yet. I have boxes and boxes of that sort of thing. Then again, I am the She Who Must Be Obeyed at my house, so there's that.

If you've got Netflix, the "Crime and Penalties" episode of Untold is out and really fun to watch. I expected mostly crime and investigation stuff, but it really focused a lot more on the hockey side.

I have a question about the Bally Sports App.

I tried logging in for the first time since it switched over from Fox Sports, but it said the pw or username was incorrect. Can I not just use my FS login or do I have to make a whole new account?

I thought since everything was supposed to be the same we would be able to use the same login info.

Just thought I would ask here before I mess up something else.

Not sure. I just tried to log in and it didn't accept my password, said it would send to my email and...hasn't. So it may be a problem with the app.

Getting full salary from one job while on transition leave while getting paid from a new job ... I could get used to this.
Yeah, it's all great except for the whole "job" part.

I say in jest because I love my job. Actually jobs since I'm doing the same job for two companies that will someday merge. But not today. (You heard it here first, though. Mr Adz will be "retired" as of mid October.)

RIP Norm Macdonald. Passed away from a 9 year cancer battle today

I heard that on the radio when I was driving home.

They played a bit by him on the Mr World contest for the 5 O'Clock Funnies.

I always liked his deadpan expression and dry sense of humor.

I always loved him on Weekend Update and his monologue when he hosted SNL the year after being fired is hilarious.
