I'd rather have Taillon, but I'll take either or both.
Can't argue with that.those would have been singles a year ago...
I find him very slider dependent but yeah he's better than Walker. Is Musgrove even that much of a upgrade over Walker?
im not a baseball stats guy but they look pretty similar.
It seems to push back every winter now. Remember when he waited it out until Januaty 16th and somebody still thought it was a good idea to offer Chris Davis 7 years and 160 million.I find the lack of moves disturbing
Then sign somewhere.
The Reds are discussing right-hander Luis Castillo in trade talks with other teams.
It’s no surprise other teams are calling to gauge Castillo’s potential availability. The 28-year-old has posted a 3.35 ERA/3.42 FIP across 260.2 innings since the start of the 2019 season.
Castillo’s raw stuff supports those results. He’s one of the sport’s hardest-throwing starters, coming off a season in which he averaged a career-high 97.8 MPH on his sinker. He backs that up with an elite changeup and an effective slider. Castillo certainly looks to have cemented himself among the game’s top arms.
She has to puff her chest a little bit and play the game. She is new to the industry, Bauer is pretty much her only client (which she mainly got because she knew him before he was rich and famous), and she is negotiating for arguably the top UFA in this class who can pretty much demand for a blank cheque. If she messes this up, then her career is pretty much done before it began, because it won't get any easier than this for her.
What kind of job are we talkin', it's Bauer after all?Yeah, no way she got him as a client because she's really good at her job or anything.

He's literally her first client. She has no proven track record of being "really good at her job", which is why this is important for her: To prove that she is really good at her job.
She likely has the qualifications, which are great and necessary, but that doesn't separate people. Knowing a guy from college does. It's not different for her as it is for likely every other person with her job. They all knew someone, or started from the bottom and worked their way up, making contacts that way. Not too many exceptions in industries that require domain experience and knowledge.
The fact she had the opportunity shows that she is already put herself in a good position, but that only goes so far.
