I like the idea of the pitch clock to help speed up the game and if they can settle at around 3hours everyone should be satisfied from players to fans to sponsors to vendors.
For the Spring games, without the 2 minute commercial break between innings, one should have arrive a little early to make sure you have a little wobble on Pinellas trail back to Main Street.

Batter wasn't "alert to the pitcher" at 8 seconds. If you click on the tweet the next one down shows the hitter setting up in the box and looking at the ground.What happened there? I need rule clarity before I rage in the season

I guarantee they won't be laughing during the season. They need to just make it that once the batters time is up the pitcher can freely pitch if the batter is ready or not.

And here I thought Bednar was some scrub. He's a very good reliever that made the All-Star game.
I really like Chapman but if he's going to cost too much, Barger might be the 3B next season.

Teams can unilaterally decide a players contract for their first 3 seasons in the league. Most teams have a formula they use to "offer" a player a slight raise each year depending on their previous year results. Most players just accept because they have no say in the matter. Manoah(and Bichette last year) said no to make a point. The team then just decides their salary anyway, usually at a lower number than the "offer". Manoah knew they would do this but is willing to take the small hit to make a point, maybe in hopes he can use that point once he's arbitration eligible in 2024.
