I disagree. Representing your country is huge for lots of these guys and with no MLB players allowed in the Olympics, this is there only chance. There is always a risk of injury but that's what contract insurance is for.
Not every contract is insured and I don’t imagine the insurance would cover them playing outside of the mlb

What were contract insurance’s 2022 splits and WAR? 🙃

Probably nothing and I don’t think he’s ever broken news before but…

Was looking at the Bet365 AL Rookie of the year odds and was very suprised to see they have Barger listed and with the 18th best odds (the other sites I looked at didnt even have him as an option).

Seems like some insiders really think this kid is pretty good. Makes you wonder if we still have another trade to make at some point where we deal some of our IF depth.

I really like Casas at 10-1 odds when he's pretty much guaranteed the starting 1B job, is in the LHH promise land known as the AL East, and has already shown MLB competency with a .766 OPS in his 27 game stint.

Lol you really hate the powder blues eh

Yeah. Not a big fan of the colour. Didn’t like the ones they used in the Riccardi era either.

It goes to the next level for me because it gets used so much. If they used it sparingly like the red jerseys, I wouldn’t have a problem. But it’s practically a primary jersey when the other 3 jerseys are so much better.

I wish they would combine the baby blue jersey with a different colour of pants, since baby blue everything ends up looking a little too much like pajamas. Still, I like them as a throwback uniform.

Red should be for Canada Day and nothing else.

So who are the playoff teams in the AL? Obviously, Toronto should be there but who else? Is Baltimore good enough to make it? Is Tampa falling out? Honestly, don’t know who to go with from the Central but I think Chicago is bouncing back to take that division.

Toronto, NYY, Seattle, Baltimore, Chicago, Houston. Is that how it’s looking right now?

I think Chicago as well. I am pretty sure they had lots of injuries last year.

I kind of like the Twins in the Central.

I’d have the Jays, Yankees, and Rays all getting in. The AL east should really benefit from the balanced schedules.

And of course the Astros coming out of the west.

Predict the Jays season after the Jays sign a bunch of injury prone aging players.... injuries, injuries, injuries....

If the Jays continue to build properly and spend, I have no problems staying in a division with the Yankees and Red Sox. I just prefer a more balanced schedule.

Playing crappy teams like Cincy, and Detroit would be boring. No rivalry there.

If they are going to do anything, do away with all divisions and just spilt the league by AL and NL, top 6 teams in each league make the playoffs. That simple.

There's no way they'd bring Charlotte and Nashville in at the same time, Braves would throw a fit. Especially with Portland probably throwing their hat in the ring.

God I'd love that division though, bring on a fresh Tigers rivalry (provided they're ever good again).

After everything is said and done... Cleveland will be the only 90+ winner in the central.
