Yup, don't get this mentality. If there is one position where I feel Habs are set for their contending years is #1C with Nick. Sure a franchise 1C is always great to have, but his defensive play mixed with a PPG production makes it a ROR/Bergeron/Toews/Kopitar #1 type C that has been enough for multiple cup winners.

Were not, but adding a Mackinnon, McDavid, Crosby, Malkin, Draisaitl, etc to Suzuki would be an instant ticket to being a contender, not because we don't need an upgrade elsewhere but because theyre great players.

With that said, good luck adding a player like that.
