With that said, good luck adding a player like that.

Yup, don't get this mentality. If there is one position where I feel Habs are set for their contending year is #1C with Nick. Sure a franchise 1C is always great to have, but his defensive play mixed with a PPG production makes it a ROR/Bergeron/Toews/Kopitar #1 type C that has been enough for multiple cup winners.

Big Nick very much gives me ROR vibes. Can do everything to a high standard, hovers close to PPG each season with good defensive and clutch play, glues the team together. I hope Nick is a better driver, though.

No you're right. He doesn't process things fast enough, which a lot of times results in him firing it into chin pads.
