Someone once listed the arenas Jagr scored his NHL goals in.
I do not know how accurate it is, since I haven't done the research myself. (This includes the arena names)

US Airways Arena (Capital Centre)
Expo Hall
Yankee Stadium
Citizens Bank Park
Saitama Super Arena
The Omni
Barclays Center
Rogers Place
Little Caesars Arena

Once again, I do not know how accurate this is, but Jagr is definitely the frontrunner here.
This reminds me of a Gretzky stat I came across. I can't remember the source or the total number of arenas he played in. I just remember he was said to be pointless in one of them. November 11, 1979 vs Hartford. This game was at the Springfield Civic Centre, I don't remember the specifics but I think it was due to repairs/construction. It was Gretzky's 9th road game in the NHL, 5 shots, +/- even.

That would be because of the Hartford Civic Center roof collapsing on January 18, 1978, which legend has held was due to snow, but looks like it was a slow buildup. It didn't open again until January 1980.

An obscure piece of trivia is that the photo used in Gretzky's rookie card was shot at Springfield Civic Centre almost exactly one year earlier. On November 9, 1978, photographer Steve Babineau captured Gretzky glancing up at the scoreboard in the second period during a powerplay as time was winding down. Gretzky eventually scored the only Oilers goal of the game.

Speaking of Gretzky. There's a neat little article mentioning Gretzky when he was 13, playing as a defenceman, saying that he had scored 900 goals up to that point. He was billed as another "Bobby Orr".

This of course leads us to the fact that Orr and Gretzky actually were teammates in one game.
On April 25, 1980 Orr and Gretzky played in a charity game to raise money for former NHL'er and Orr's old Oshawa teammate Bill Heindl [1946-1992]. Heindl attempted suicide six months earlier by jumping off a bridge and ended up in a wheelchair.

So he didn’t go pointless in Springfield Civic Centre?

These players are the only players to share a very unique distinction. Can you name it?

Rob Ramage
Lyle Odelein
Daymond Langkow
Robert Reichel
Geoff Sanderson
Ilya Kovalchuk
Jordan Staal

It seems, though I didn’t check all the names, that perhaps they’ve all scored on their own net, with the credit going to the opposing goaltender?

Edit: It’s gotta be it. They’ve all been the last men to touch the puck on a goalie goal. Great piece of information!

While trying to figure out seventieslord’s question, I learned that Jose Theodore is the only one to shoot and score more goals than he allowed in a game, on January 2nd, 2001, vs the Islanders. Final tally: 3-0.

One other goaltender has posted a goal in a shutout: Damian Rhodes for the Senators vs. the Devils in 1998-99, however this was scored by Lyle Odelein on a delayed penalty. The date? January 2nd, 1999.

January 2nd: the best bet to see a goalie goal and a shutout.

Anyone catch the Oilers - Senators game the other day? Edmonton choked away a 3-1 third period lead to lose 6-4.

Oilers defenceman Evan Bouchard had what you call a rough night. Bouchard had 5 shifts* in the third period, and Ottawa scored on EVERY SINGLE ONE.

It's hard to imagine that happening very often, if ever, in the NHL... except maybe the 1974-75 Capitals or something. Yikes.

*I think the NHL site officially says he had six shifts, but it's apparently an error as it shows him leaving the ice for 10 seconds, when in fact he didn't.

Florida Panthers had 3 games in their history, where they scored 9 goals minimum:
vs Columbus (some days ago)
vs Tampa Bay (end of December 2021)
26.11.1997 vs Boston Bruins 10:5

We can say, Joe Thornton was part of all 3. Unfortunately, this game vs Tampa Bay, he wasn't there. But still, he was a member of Florida Panthers.

The Pittsburg Penguins once had a live mascot

When the Pittsburg team reached halfway through their inaugural season, they introduced Pete, the Ecuadorian penguin as their mascot. Allegedly, the team executives had a dream to make Pete learn how to skate but unfortunately, he caught pneumonia and the team had to return him to the zoo. He died shortly thereafter.

The Stars and Devils finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the league in 1998 and 1999.

They faced each other in the SCF in 2000 with the Devils having home-ice advantage.

The first Russian born player to play in the NHL was ?

David "Sweeney" Schriner

True, he was born in Saratov (today Russia). Technically it was part of the Russian Empire at the time, and the first one born in the Russian Empire who played in the NHL was Charlie Cotch.
Val Hoffinger and Johnny Gottselig are two other players who were born in the Russian Empire that played in the NHL before Schriner.

I was surprised to see recently that Barrasso is the all-time point leader among goalies. Not Brodeur, Fuhr, or Roy.

Sure, but nothing beats Grant Fuhr's 14 assists in 1983-84. What's more, Fuhr did it in only 45 games played. Oilers' center Pat Conacher also played 45 games... and Fuhr outscored him by 4 points.
