They had some fans waving Sell flags between some innings last afternoon at Camden Yards lol
It will depend on the other I guess. Based on driving, it’s only like a half hour longer than if they would’ve moved to San Jose. What I wonder is if they do end up in Sacramento instead of Vegas, how many of their fans will stick with them? Sacramento is a day trip for Oakland residents.
can't imagine the River Cats (which is a Giants affiliate) would sign off on that long-term; Oakland already has a presence in Vegas w/ the Aviators (51s)What I wonder is if they do end up in Sacramento instead of Vegas, how many of their fans will stick with them? doubt in either case either affiliate would move.... because why would Sacramento agree to this temporary agreement then since they are the primary tenant there.....The affiliate would move (maybe even to Oakland).
No need for a AAA team if MLB comes. Atlanta & Twin Cities are the only 2 markets with both.
You buy off the River Cats' owner and allow him to become a part-owner of the Sacramento A's (or even sell him the entire team/a majority). Ranadive then moves the River Cats elsewhere.doubt in either case either affiliate would move.... because why would Sacramento agree to this temporary agreement then since they are the primary tenant there.....
Thank you for your kind words. Most people from here are pretty nice. It is part of why I stayed.LMAO
As someone not from the Midwest I never really realized how big a thing there is between Illinois and Wisconsin, but I've learned. It's remarkable considering how nice literally everyone from Wisconsin I've ever met is.

Originally, I am from Ohio. I moved here in 1981 and was surprised at the dislike of people from Illinois. Not everybody from Wisconsin feels that way, but it is a healthy percentage, maybe 10%.
My wife is from Jamestown, NY.I am originally from Upstate NY and we bitch about NYC constantly, so I get it.
Southern Tier, that's definitely upstate. There are some pretty areas east of there. My wife is from Jamestown, NY.
My wife is from Jamestown, NY.
She is not Natalie. She did grow up around the corner from Dennis Drew. I believe that she knew the older brother of another band member. It is a small town!Does your wife know Natalie Merchant? Was she in 10,000 Maniacs?
Wait, is your wife Natalie Merchant?
They can’t offset the number of teams.
This is going to be a Coyotes in Tempe-level disaster, isn't it?
Honestly, MLB might be better off deactivating the A's for a few years, with a dispersal draft for their current roster and an expansion draft when they're reactivated.
deactivate the White Sox too then, problem solvedThey can’t offset the number of teams.
Rob Manfred makes William Eckert look good
This is going to be a Coyotes in Tempe-level disaster, isn't it? Would love to see what the players' union thinks about this. MLB should honestly force Fisher to sell in exchange for a Vegas expansion team. (which would be somewhat similar to the North Stars/Sharks situation in the early 90s)
Thank God that fiasco is gonna be over in about a week and a half. I wasn't sure this day would ever come. My only problem is they are building the damn thing in St. Pete. But this goes beyond the Rays. We desperately need to figure out something like a light rail. You can live anywhere in Hillsborough and your ass is looking at a 45 minute haul to Clearwater beach no matter whatRob Manfred makes William Eckert look good
Meanwhile, the clock is ticking in Tampa Bay as the Rays' new stadium agreement appears doomed over funding issues.
