Las Vegas

He's full of crap.

That plot is no bigger than The Tropicana plot and awkward as it's kidney shaped. Additionally Wynn has been in the process of building a 3rd tower there for years and a few months ago got the completed FAA study with the height limits.

Also, its in a less desirable spot on The Strip, that's past Fashion Mall and Wynn and next to Resorts World, a solid 2+ miles from "center strip". The Tropicana site is across the street from "center strip" and on the same corner as NYNY, MGM Grand and Excalibur. It's more central than The Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

Not to mention the "sports district" aspect with T-Mobile on the other side of the street, Allegiant across the highway and the NBA arena expected to go ~1 mile south

another disaster. if not for the NHL shooting itself in the foot constantly, this sport would end up as Indy Racing did in the early 2000s

And Manfred still supports this idiot?! Way to go MLB.

I'm get Atlanta Spirit competency vibes from Fisher. I hate bad ownership.

So...pitchers and catchers report in a couple weeks and the A's still don't have a home...right?

In your daily dose of Oakland is a dump and sprialing further into decay...

The more and more news coming out of Oakland these days, the more and more harder it gets to buy the fairytale that the city and county acted totally fair and transparent and went above and beyond to keep the team there.

It's gonna be crazy to see how empty that stadium is in '24.

My Youtube algorithym feeds me almost everyday with news reports of car break-ins, carjackings, retail thefts, and business closures in Oakland. An In-N-Out location in Oakland has just recently closed down. A f***ing In-N-Out.

if a low crime rate is a prerequisite for having an MLB team, then why do cities like STL, chicago, baltimore, detroit, milwaukee, and cleveland have teams?

Crime and safety wasn't really the point, larger point was more about resources. If they don't even have the resources to adequately prosecute criminals, i can't believe they had the resources to do everything they needed to do with infrastructure with new stadium and honoring the agreements they made to keep the team there, not to mention going above and beyond to do so.

It gets harder and harder to believe.

the city did their part to accommodate fisher on the howard terminal project. once fisher realized the city was willing to do whatever it took to keep the A's in oakland, he bailed like the scared and broke little bitch he is because his whole plan from the beginning was to move to vegas. staying in oakland was never an option for fisher or for MLB

he expected the city to balk at his demands so he could say "see, i tried!." has absolutely nothing to do with "resources to adequately prosecute criminals."
