Far too early to tell honestly, though I think both players are the type this team needed.

Regardless with this bipolar fan base, you'd get different results if you made this poll after game the Habs game, then game 2 vs Chicago..... then back again with tonight's performance.

Just look how quickly opinions changed tonight with Keefes decision to keep Tavares on the wing.

Dubas has been passing all the tests since last week, gem of a trade.

ROR was the only acquisition I wanted to see, posted something to that effect in the trades thread. Beauty of a night for him but it's more about elevating the team.

It's going to be a lot of fun watching him on our side in the playoffs. It's a contract year for Dubie so he's pulling a Kadri.

I didn’t love the trade initially, but came around as time went by. Today looked really good, but this trade will probably be seen as good or bad after the first round

Seriously, the trade is good, you can argue it could be done cheaper, but probably not by much and this trade addressed the needs of this team.


On the other hand, give me a break, if Kyle started his jobs two weeks ago we could praise him for good week, but wth you're doing now?

I was the same as you. I thought our biggest need is to get 1 more veteran dman to help fill in the Muzzin role that is vacant.

True and Dubas has actually been trying to plug these holes for years (contrary to some opinions). Hopefully he's finally found the right fit.

He's going to get great offers this summer. How are they going to fit that under the Cap?

Best deadline add this team has made. ROR is the exact right kind of impact forward the team can use to close out a playoff series, and Acciari pushes everyone on line 4 to a reasonable spot. I couldn't be happier.

I don't think anyone could dislike this trade unless you blindly hate the GM, or believe that they have no shot against Tampa in round 1 no matter what.

Trade 34 for a kings ransom (1st, a Tuck, an Askarov or Saros or a Weegar, a McTavish) if he does not sign this summer. You then have money to sign 88, 90, 52.
