a hell no from Vancover. We are stacked on the Left Side Juolevi and Hutton and if we di bad (We Will) we will be pick in top 5 so Liljegren or Patrick. Miller just would be the right fit IMO we have good Prospects on the rgiht no way in the future he is playing above Boeser and Virtanen

Yeah, definitely not the overpayment needed to pry Tanev from us, but it was a decent proposal actually offering up some younger talents.

With Brassard traded, there is little likelihood that Step will be moved anytime soon regardless of when his NMC kicks in after this season. If he is moved, you have 3 centre's under the age of 25with the most experienced one having 3 years in the NHL. I just don't see it.

respectfully disagree

the NMC factor IS dominant
need to repurpose his salary
your post assumes lack of experience too great to overcome quickly
I disagree
growing pains if any temporary

also waiting is dangerous if he's injured your effed

Gort is looking all options offers

sooner or later but
it will happen

No it won't, but don't let logic derail your agenda of trading Stepan. :shakehead:

As for Tanev, just don't see the Nucks trading him.

Rangers don't need Tanev. With Staal & Girardi on the team it's a head scratcher to wonder why anyone would think adding him would help. Tanev is so over hyped right now, it's insane. The guy is a defensive blueliner and nothing more. Once the hype is over and everyone starts focusing on his offensive numbers, he'll be grouped with Staal and Girardi.

Wow this would be a painful one, but getting a right handed #2/3 on a sweet deal would be just too good to turn down.

Can see why Van say no to this.

It didn't happen when it was rumored he was going to Minn. for Dumba, it isn't happening now that Brassard is gone. Gorton made a hell of a trade there and it spoke volumes moving forward as to who will be the Rangers #1. That I clearly Step.

You aren't going to move Step now and leave another hole the Rangers have seemingly had forever at center except with this current group.

Z-Jab, Hayes, Miller and whomever is on the 4th line would be a lot weaker down the middle as compared to having Step.......and not that Step is even good at faceoffs, just he is a solid player and he is still young.

If Step was moved it would be for a can't say no deal for a RHD and not a #1 center. I think the Rangers will move other assets for that RHD.
