Surprised a regressing older team would trade a first for a 32 year old tbh
Age matters Miller is older and this year is a throwaway but that being said we traded him to another conference so we won't have to deal with him as much compared to if we sent him to the Avs or Dallas for example. What a gross trade. If I'm a Canucks fan I'd be livid right now, one of the best players in the leagues for a middling 1st and a shitty 3C?? All to keep overpaid bitchass EP?
And I wanted to see Miller get a chance at the cup, won't happen on the Rags. Gross all around
That does y'all no good. You get a mid pick in a meh draft this year and nothing next year beyond a vague suggestion of schadenfreude. If NYR resumes their prior freefall, you get a probably much better pick in a much better draft.Rather they make the playoffs this year and then suck next year lol
It’s not about the return here for the fans or the team. It’s about healing a locker room. As funny as that sounds. They were in a bad way and made a step to solve that. If I were a Vancouver fan I wouldn’t be too upset with the return. The circumstances dictated they were losing any trade to begin with.they shouldn't be happy with the return either
No I don't think he was going to do that in Vancouver. Maybe if Petey was traded, but even still I worry about the other players being upset with whomever ended up being left between Petey/Miller.do you think there was a decent chance he'd do that in VAN this year? If not I'd say his potential performance increase with the rangers is irrelevant where it regards the value VAN gets from doing this. It would look better for NYR if he did that but IMO the primary reason for getting rid of him by VAN is already accomplished so they've already "won". NYR could technically "lose" if Miller proves problematic for them too (even if they'll most likely "win" as well).
And keeping bitchmade EPI feel like people don't realize just how good JT Miller is.
The Canucks are going to look stupid for letting him go for so little.
Chytil is a C so unless they are going to run a scrub like Brodzinski at C it should be Miller-Trochek-Zibanejad-Carrick down the middle. Will JT Miller play centre or wing in NY to start? Trocheck is a lock down the middle, but could they put Ziba on the wing?
If Fila can stay healthy, Canuck fans are gonna love him. He's great with puck possession, zone entries, can set them up, AND has a twisted wrister. He's been given Chris Kreider lately who has been an offensive black hole. If he's playing with Joshua and Garland, they are gonna do some great things together.Except Chytil kind of sucks and that 32 year old is often your best forward.
Chityl is one hit away from needing a helmet to walk down the stairs.Chytll and a 1st round pick for a guy whose gonna hit 32 and forcing your hand to go where he wants . Not a bad return at all.
I mean the Canucks now losing their 2nd best player wouldn't need to worry about him in the west.. won't be doing shit for a whileAge matters Miller is older and this year is a throwaway but that being said we traded him to another conference so we won't have to deal with him as much compared to if we sent him to the Avs or Dallas for example.
hahaha you think they are solved by removing the guy who wanted to win and keeping the soft player who doesn't show up when it matters, hahahahaYup. The return isn’t of any concern here. There were bigger issues at hand that are now hopefully solved.
This. Pettersen better play the rest of this season like his hair is on fireNot great for the Canucks. Not really terrible either, Chytil is good when he's healthy but he strikes me as always being one hit away from missing the rest of a season.
Time for EP to put up or shut up
Are they though? They should be happy to be rid of miller.
What does the protection mean? What does the pick turn into when the rangers miss the playoffs?
As a Ranger fan, I’d rather have Chytil than Zib. Trust me, you got the better of the two.Just looking at the stats, Chytil doesn't even look like a top six player... Was Mika Z for JT really that bad of a deal if that was indeed on the table?
Chytil is injury prone and one hit away from being done. I like him, however I am relieved that he is gone. One less thing to worry about.Chytil is a good get... rather have him over Lafreniere.. not a terrible deal at all. 1st round pick will be key.
*this is Lafreniere's 5th season and he's on pace for 49 points... and he makes close to $8 million a year.
And keeping bitchmade EP
Either NY fans will be pissed or Canucks fans will be pissed.
God speed to both of you
