Contracts can be signed remotely. There are plenty of international courier services that can get a document from the US to Russia and back within a couple days. I mean the idea that a contract can't be signed because a guy isn't physically in New York is silly in this day and age. My company does all kinds of global business and we execute contracts all over the world through courier services. We signed a big deal in Vietnam--we sent the paperwork Monday morning by courier and had it all back Thursday morning and could have had it more quickly if we wanted it.

The whole discussion is pointless, I'm sure the parameters of the deal are agreed upon, whether they're signed, not signed, waiting to be filed, processed, filed, whatever, they'll all be wrapped up shortly.

Rykov is the one I'm interested in.

Maybe they use Docusign ;)

Now sign Rykov!

This offseason may be - and I don't use this lightly - GOAT.

Lost a little in the shuffle of Kravtsov, Shesty, Fox, and Kakko, is that Hajek and Rykov are both genuine threats to be too good to send to Hartford.

Not to mention our crop of young forwards that should all improve to varying degrees.

Even with a bad team, the coming season should be fun to watch!

Putting a trademark on SKA St. Rangerstown.

Now do Rykov and draft Dorofreyev or Nikolaev

It doesn’t sound like Rykov is signing here for next season.

Jeff Gorton spoke to Carp about the Rangers prospects in The Athletic. This is what he said about Rykov.

The Rangers have been trying to get him over here sooner rather than later, but that may not come this year.

“We’re in discussion with him to find out what he wants to do, to find out whether he’s ready to come over or wants to come over,” Gorton said. “We’re working through those.”

One issue perhaps is that he may be able to make more, or similar, money in the KHL than he’ll earn on his fairly standard entry-level contract.

Rykov doesn’t want to make $70,000 playing in the AHL next season.

Unfortunately we have so much depth on the left and i guess he realizes that too. We knew eventually we wouldnt have enough spots for our prospects. Would have been nice for him to come to the AHL but it’s not surprising he doesnt want to.

That's too bad.

Hopefully they're able to get him signed, even if it comes with the understanding that he will exercise his Euro-out clause if demoted.

Would stink if he doesn’t come over eventually ... not really a big deal this year as Hajek and Lindgren likely get the first crack

I wouldn't be surprised if they can't get Rykov signed. That's why I said last page, he's the one I'm interested in (in terms of a contract announcement).

Shit, simple sign and scan is sufficient for 9 out of 10 contracts in this day and age. :)
