It's time to play *spin the stats*!

You seem to have watched him a ton and kept a close eye on the Jets the past few years then. So hopefully they play him on the Rangers top line and give him plenty of minutes since you know his play so well! :)

So Wheeler hates dressing rooms and airports.

Rangers are the big winners here. I would have paid him $8.5 to play on the 3rd line.

That is a god damn steal, anyone being negative about this for the Rags is an idiot. Yeah, Wheeler is aging, but he’s still worth way more than this.
Not sure any amount is cheap enough for a dressing room cancer. Is Kakko available now since he will probably get screwed over.

800k for a veteran top 9 RW? Yes sir. Even if he puts up 40 points that's an absolute steal.

Exactly what the Rangers needed. They may be able to resign one of Kane or Tarasenko now, depending on what they want.

Kreider-Zibanejad-Wheeler
Panarin-Trocheck-Kakko/Kane/Tarasenko?
Lafreniere-Chytil-Othmann
Vesey-Goodrow-Pitlick

I don't love it but I don't hate it. Like every other year with this f***ing team, everything hinges on if this is the year the first round picks decide to play in accordance with their draft status

1. Have a team in Manhattan
2. Players sign with you for nothing and demand to be traded to you for nothing in return
3. Profit

Shall I link you to the dozens of threads making fun of the rangers over the years for overpaying or do you want to do that on your own and then admit that this post is rubbish?

"Typical rangers. Overpaying for a big name. Never learn."

"Must be nice to have everyone sign with you for nothing".

Can't go wrong with this deal. Wheeler is still a serviceable player in the middle six. He's lost a step, but play him on the third line and he'll do fine.
