I don't think Calgary has the cap space for this. Calgary would have to add another salary dump and probably something more picks/prospects wise to sweeten it with.

Calgary need wingers though but Nash's age and contract means Calgary takes a pass.

NYR get out of Nash's contract and have Dennis Wideman's 5.5 mil caphit only for this season, the Flames get a talented, big winger to play in their top 6.

Thoughts?

Ranger's don't need to get out of Nash's contract. His contract is a non-issue and he's one of the best all-round wingers in the league.
