Of all the narratives around this team there is zero mention of how Lav pushed a less than 100% Lindgren into a lineup with d pairs that seemed to function with some confidence.

Instead of riding hot hands like Chytil and putting him on PP1 to give it a needed shooter he went back to Mika.

As for the comparison I saw earlier to the Giants, it’s a lot easier to tolerate bad tweener seasons when you actually win championships during the times when you’re good.

This is an old tired bunch of veteran players that got paid and like the country club atmosphere of the Rangers organization. Fox, Lindy, Kreider and Zibanajad all need to be playing 4th line and third pair minutes.
Let the younger more hungry players eat up the minutes. Get rid of Miller while he can bring back more than a bucket of steam. I know there is some that will disagree but trade jones also. This is kind of Smurfs on defense. A new coach and system is an immediate necessity.
The third line should be the first line for the immediate future and need to play on the pp and 6 on 5. Unbelievable decisions by Lavi.

Zibanejad has been much better recently. Definitely since they came back from Xmas break. He's got an NMC so the best case is that he rehabilitates himself and becomes an overpaid 2C. We can't rely on him for primary offense anymore.

Laviolette, Housley, Lindgren heads on spikes would be addition by subtraction. Miller can stay if we get someone to push him down the depth chart. If not use him to get a top line forward.

None of them are really likeable ina stand out way, but; chytil, cuylle, berard, Schneider, Fox (needs to be better), edstrom's ok, quick, Jones, and I don't mind the new D guys they just aren't very good

Team couldn't catch a break today. Overturned goal by a pubic hair is the stupidest rule that needs to be changed and was a back breaker.

They had their best season in franchise history last year and just signed a 29 year old goalie to an 8 year NMC. Idk why I have to keep being the bad guy and telling people they arent going for a rebuild. They'll trade vets in hockey trades but they arent tanking and they'll be in it to win the Cup next year.
