The kids scored, Ovi gets closer to the record and we keep the trend toward a high pick.. excellent finish. The worst thing that can happen at this point is we go on a little run here and there and end up as a bubble team missing the playoffs. We need another high pick to ruin.

Who was doing the play-by-play? I liked his intensity, that was a fun broadcast

Of all the narratives around this team there is zero mention of how Lav pushed a less than 100% Lindgren into a lineup with d pairs that seemed to function with some confidence.

Instead of riding hot hands like Chytil and putting him on PP1 to give it a needed shooter he went back to Mika.

Laviolette has been terrible. I blame the players for the downturn but he plays the vets too much and that includes Lindgren.

Started out just fine. We were the best team in period 1 and deserved a goal (even if the one we got was lucky), but stupid penalties hurt once again. We looked ok on defence until we actually had to turn around, once our d-men need to pivot it is all over and our in-zone positioning is just atrocious. I said during the game that there is no attention to detail anywhere on the ice, nor is there a semblance of structure or 'team'.
Chytil line wasn't great defensively but at least they push the pace of the game.

One thing that stood out to me was at the end of the 1st; Lef gets pushed/cross-checked by Dupois (?) and he just doesn't care. Meanwhile you've got Trocheck trying to take on Wilson right next to him because Tro is trying to stand up for Laf even though he doesn't give a shit. There's just no care in a lot of these players.

Good on Carberry for exploiting an NHL loophole, but there is no way you should be able to call a TO in order to watch more video of a play before making a challenge. Cricket goes for 5 freakin' days and you only get a max of 15 seconds to make up your mind in that!
I still stand by my take that you get one look at each angle in real time on a challenege, and if it isn't obvious the call on the ice stands. Otherwise you looking to replace the oinesman, not support him, and you need to come up with new technology that can replace them in real time.

Also, the refs seem to be missing a heap of high sticks this season
