The biggest question with this tandem coming in was durability.

Yep, when we signed our tandem I knew our #3 would be getting their time.

Just didn't quite expect that it would get to the point that we would have to use 2 unsigned prospects at the start of the season at some point.

This season is collapsing on the basis of the Borg not being quite as smart as they think. You can't go out and get 2 goalies with major injury problems to being your starting duo. That was a giant f***ing mistake and they need to own it.

There is a reason Bear was walked out of Edmonton with the red carpet laid. He genuinely sucks at defense to the point where he's a trainwreck. He should be benched in lieu of a Chatfield callup at this point. Smith and Cole are essentially replacement level players. The big moves from last year didn't work.

They put together a very good team. They took some risks to do so, and sometimes those risks can go bad. But we'll see where it goes. What happens with the goalies and our season isn't written in stone yet.

Agreed Hamilton to TDA. But the other moves are all melting down at the worst time.

Regarding Bear, I'd have rather kept either Bean or Fleury. They're all similar players but Bean/Fleury tended to avoid the major mental f***ups that Bear seems to commit way too often.

Man sometimes your pessimism gets to be heavy! Freddy has had one season cut short by injury. He literally starts 50-60 games a season.
