Confirmed with Link: [NYI/TOR] Pierre Engvall for 2024 3rd round pick

Posted this in the Rumors thread, but to me this says Clutterbuck is getting the Boychuk treatment.
If Lou gives Bailey the Boychuk treatment then I’ll never utter another harsh word about him. Now what kind of injury can we manufacture since he avoids contact like the plague?

Looks like he’s underrated and can help. Giving up a third for a rental player that a contender doesn’t want seems odd though.

Hope it works out. We need another forward. Keep winning and try to make the playoffs and stay in the metro bracket.

Been saying this since he got hurt…again. I don’t know how Cal doesn’t retire/go LTIR. His body is done.
That could’ve been said before Lou handed him another 2 year deal. If you take out the AAV and term of that contract I’d argue it was Lou’s most I’ll advised deal of his tenure on the Island.

I think it's less about not wanting him and more about needing cap space to activate their goalie.

I didn’t realize his cap hit at the time. Makes a lot of sense.

Looks like Boeser to PIT is getting closer. If he can stay healthy that’s a legit sniper for them.

Because a tough 3rd liner who doesn't score a lot apparently costs 5 draft picks.
I'm really of the opinion that we shouldn't be "going for it" anyway. We're a mediocre at best team and will likely get our heads handed to us by the Bruins in the 1st round if we make it that far.

Lou has ZERO thought about the future of this franchise. All he is trying to do is win another cup, and sadly all he's managed to do is build a bubble team.

I want the Lou experiment to end. We need a GM who cares about the present & the future of the team. Lou just isn't that guy.

Screw the future. There is none. Team has been all in ever since Lou was hired. That will be the case until 10 years after he's gone. And many of us will be gone by then too.

It's like a mantra at this point.

Good defensive players good in transition, tons of speed, and has a lot of versatility. All things we could badly use right now. Should be a good fill in for the injuries, not to mention re-signing him would be a cheaper option to fill Bailey's roster spot if we can find a way to move him before next season. I'm cool with it for a far off 3rd rounder.
