Lou's just playing th long game here. Engvall at 3 mill in five years when the cap is 120 will be looked at as one of the best bargains in the AHL at that point.

Buddy of mine who has inside info about the Bridgeport Islanders says Lou just cancelled GPS order for the team bus. With Envall now there, they decided to have Pierre stick his 3 foot neck out the bus window instead.

He'd have to report to the A and play it out. Otherwise, the Isles would absolutely terminate his contract if he doesn't report. Probably looking at a buyout in 2025, unless the Isles are willing to use up 1 of their retention spots for the remainder of his contract.
