So the Isles need an impact winger who can keep up and complement the skill of Tavares... and they choose Ladd. Okay.

I'm not sure that hanging onto Hamonic rather than moving him for Hall was the smartest choice.

I like Ladd a lot but this is a horrible contract for the Isles.

Last year's FA Frenzy saw market value deals. Now, the terms are already nuts this summer. Oh well.

The last few years of that contract will be ugly.

Not happy with the term but happy with the money. Also happy that we finally have a LW for JT. Took a long time but finally talent on the left side other than that short stint with Vanek.

Super long contract and I think Ladd will not age well.

That being said, this is exactly what NYI's need. Ladd is a warrior and has a ton of playoff experience. He still has 3 or 4 good years left. Islanders fans should be happy. It's time for them to start do some damage in the playoffs now.

I know we are not an easy sell as a team but 7 years for Ladd, Andrew Ladd in 2023 will not be on the ice scoring 10 goals, he will be [MOD] and collecting checks
