Man, app this vitriol being directed at the players. I don't get it. It's kind of ****ing gross. The guys are doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing. How can you blame players for trying? Bizarre.

Because 90% of them are players I don’t give a rat’s ass about and have no part of the future that this franchise is trying to build. Because, we’ve been down this road before, and we know what happens when you don’t have elite talent. And, frankly, this all ends up becoming a wasted exercise if that happens. This franchise has never drafted in the top 3. That’s ridiculous.

I don't see how any of this adds up to pissing on players for trying. I wanted a loss and a better pick, too, but I'm not angry at the guys on the team for playing hard. But whatever, you guys do you.

This is the luckiest awful team in the history of the league. Straight up were 11 points better than they should have been.

But if they try to compete, that luck flips on its ear.

Whatever the Rangers try to do falls apart explosively at the 11th hour, whether it's being good or being bad.

Seen several posts like this. It's about culture. The kids who ARE part of the long-term future are playing in a culture where you always try to win, no matter what. You don't like it now, but when the team is relevant again, these lessons will pay off.

Ridiculous. When we beat washington late in 2004. We learned a lesson and they got Ovechkin. Pittsburgh lost plenty when they tanked and walked away with Malkin Crosby and three championships.

You can thank Jeff Gorton for keeping guys like namestnikov Spooner fast and Hayes/Zucc way longer than he should have leading to a season like this instead of really bottoming out. He just wouldn’t do it. And this is what you get more mediocrity. We won’t sniff an impact player when we drop another spot or two in the lottery

Franchise never does anything right, it’s annoying. I want the Rangers to be like Tampa, depth and just the ability just to gun you out of the game. I don’t want to be the team that is pesky, hard-working and needs great goaltending to win on a consistent basis. The no quit attitude is great and all, but without elite talent I’m not sure it’s gonna lead to long term success and that’s why these late season wins are frustrating. I just hope somehow they get lucky in the Draft either this year or next.

Yea if only we had 58th & 79th overall picks to take someone like Kucherov & Point

If we don`t win the lottery - we delay the rebuild with 1 year with 3 points in last 2 games. I doubt any franchise players will arrive at 7th pick. So Oilers vs Flames they need to win let`s hope Flames have nothing to play for and rest players until playoffs start in a few days.
