I doubt he is “valued” much… he should be #3 on Nashville’s current depth chart but that isn’t saying much…. He’s more like #5 for a good team. Just… more than half the teams in the league are right up against the Cap, many others already have satisfactory depth on D, and tanking teams don’t really need to win more hockey games or spend more real $$$.
So I’m not surprised nobody wanted to trade for him. Maybe there will still be a team or three our there willing to claim him.

Feels like one of those times that everybody is so certain he should be claimed (me included), that he won’t be. I’ll probably be wrong here in a few minutes no matter what, the logic of who gets picked up on waivers are weird.
I wonder if his reputation, even among Preds fans who are convinced he’s getting a raw deal in Nashville - outweighs what you are actually getting for $2.5 million AAV. Would not surprise me if the cap hit keeps him unclaimed. Nobody “needs” a bottom pair/7 defenseman on that contract.

doesn't mean they need to carry them. Either Harris is gone or Jiricek down I'd imagine. Harris is kinda boring and just there. Team seems to like Johnson leadership and physicality more. Kinda figured Fabbro was a real option to help bring some balance of left/right shots
