Doubt he even makes it to Detroit and if he does they need to pick him up. I was hoping they would make a trade for him to shore up that right side/ younger on that side. Outside ASP we don’t have much cooking on that side. Somehow after years of rebuilding….

He's not a project. He's an average, steady defensive dman. That ain't bad for 2.5M. The Preds just hate playing him for unexplained reasons.

2.5m is a low risk for lots of teams and he's a UFA which makes it a no-brainer for any rebuilding team. If he performs, you get a free RHD asset to either keep or trade. If he doesn't, he's gone in the summer anyway.

I remember wanting the Bruins to draft Fabbro over McAvoy. Glad they didn't listen to me.
WTF he's one of the guys I wanted on the Oilers. I'd have paid a 3rd easily. Waivers? Man, he's never going to make it to Edmonton's selection unclaimed. I actually think he'd be an ideal partner for Nurse.
