Agree. Roslo had one of his worst games tonight but he’s going to be a good one. It hasn’t helped his game playing with Laine and Little. In fact, like others, it’s hurt it.

I sure hope we don’t trade away cheap highly talented assets like him for a short term rental.

For the sake of the overall team, something has to be done about the Laine/Little pairing. I don't care what it is. Every single player that plays on that line (including Laine/Little) struggles.

It's just a toxic pairing that does not work and Maurice refuses to do anything about it. Our 2nd line should be a powerhouse on a Cup team, not a hindrance.

As someone mentioned, maybe Maurice is trying to force Chevy's hand. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Did anyone mention this:
Tonight's #WPGvsBOS game is being scouted by #VAN (2 scouts), #BUF, #CHI, #CBJ , #EDM, #FLA (4 scouts), #MIN, #NSH, #NJD (2 scouts), #NYI, #NYR (3 scouts), #OTT (2 scouts), #PIT, #TBL, #TOR.

That seems like a lot, is it?

Either that or he's incredibly stubborn. We've seen that before as well.

For those of us who remember the Pavelec days all too well, having a team sv % of .925 is glorious. Hellebucyk is a career .915 and is .910 this season so he will probably normalize over the whole season.

The play of Scheifele is concerning me. The OT was just ridiculous with how long his shifts were. Scheifele and Wheeler are definitely being over played and it's not necessary. The Jets are deep I don't know how 1 line can be played for 20 + minutes every game.

Wheeler could hardly move for portions of OT.

I'm not sure how to fix that, because we only have so many top six forwards. I don't want this to be about Little, it's just the combination or at least the willingness to experiment a little to optimize the overall team.

Notable 2015 Bruins draft snub Kyle Connor, that is

I know right.... KFC scores 2 goals meanwhile Zboril and Sheneshyn were invisible out there.:sarcasm: In the shootout KFC scores and then DeBrusk is stopped. The irony is too delicious.

I was on the Bruins last night just reading and not commenting but KC was brought up more than once believe me.

It's Boston, it's the east coast, one of only two games on, free tickets for the scouts...

I wouldn't read too much into it IMO. I wouldn't consider it anything serious or people scouting the Jets until that many scouts come to Winnipeg when it's -50 to look at players. Then it's serious..;)

Its hard to criticize the Bruins because they're almost always a good team, but man, did they ever f*** that draft up. Imagine adding Barzal and Connor to that team.

2/3 of that game were awful to watch. the 3rd had some good moments. OT was ok.
Helle had 2 or 3 highlight reel saves.

the Laine conundrum continues. the lack of desire to shuffle him with a different centre is really frustrating.

Lack of desire to do anything differently with him is frustrating. Maurice is just letting him wallow. Move him up, move him down, press box, something, anything.

Kyle Connor deserves to be on the top line right now getting top minutes after that performance.

Little has 10 pts in his last 10 games. So, it would appear he deserves 2nd line minutes.

Shuffle Laine down to the 3rd line for a few games as far as I'm concerned. He's been disengaged for two months.

far too much pissing and moaning about last nights game and some players.

we won the game.

it was back to back after a long layoff.

as for trading the 20 yr old laine…….

how long do you think it should take for someone who has always been depended on to be a sniper, to develop the defence side of his game?

his skating is a justifiable complaint.

that can be taught and developed

his size and shot cannot

Since we have no clue when Ehlers is coming back it is time for Chevy to go after a linemate for Laine on the 2nd line.

Go get Brassard , Brayden Schenn or Duchene and shake things up and get Laine going again.

Mo played a hunch and went Morrow and. He actually had a decent game, with all D healthy Morrow is still number 7 and Niku 8 on the D depth chart!

Roslovic is a huge dissppointmwnt this season, looks like this guy will never be top 6 afterall, speed and zero hockey IQ, not great hands and no shot!
_________________________________________________________

We think much alike on things here Sip - and your right--so far Roslovic has been a disappointment , however I think we're judging a little to early on him --he's only 22. I have seen his shot last year, and it looks good. As for his hockey IQ -- time will tell, but so far he doesn't look that good. Maybe a little time will bring him around-- just hope he doesn't turn out to be a Burmistrov.

As for the Jet's defenseman -- I think your right on. I don't think Niku is ready yet, and Morrow should be still be playing ahead of him. I also like Chiarot in there as our # 6, as he's physicality comes in handy playing those tougher teams, and he's pretty solid all around.

Only think I'd like to see is Petan used for his playmaking ability. We're getting no scoring right now from our 2nd and 4-th lines. It's worth a shot to give him a decent shot, and see what he can do -- I've seen him set up some beautiful goals. I guess we would differ on this point on Petan.

I really don't know why our coach is adverse to trying all possible combinations on our roster prior to necessitating the movement of key assets to bring someone else in.

Saw a video of Ehlers at the mental health forum at Bell MTS and he appeared to have his right arm in a sling or something still, he wasn't using his right arm.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's not back until March.

petan has 10 5on5 assists in 108 games and 2a in his last 28 games for comparison Appleton has 3 in his 1st 24 games in league. petan is right where he should be in pb. maurice might give him a game to try and spark roslovic by sitting him but just a game.

edit: I just saw one of your other posts. don't think that 1 game he might get will be him playing on 2nd line but the 4th line. but still unlikely because I think Maurice likes that 4th line to much to break it up.

It is like Ehler's injury is top secret.

If he is expected to be gone for a long time than acquire someone now to jump start that 2nd line and not wait until the trade deadline.

I think we should put this into perspective here ffh -- Petan may have played 108 games-- but he was playing only 8 minutes per game, and playing with plugs like Thorburn and guys like him that cannot score. What good is that ??-Petan is a "playmaker." Appleton has had his chance, and both he and Copp can't hit the broad side of a barn with their shot, although very good defensively.

I'm sold on Copp as a hard working 2 way defensive guy, but not sold on Appleton --I guess we have different opinions. I do think Petan is way "underrated" on these boards, however time will tell. I do respect your opinions though.

EXAMPLE - Appleton had a wide open net against the Bruins, and missed, whereas a 10 year old kid would have scored --I'm not sold on this guy at all. Maybe he needs a little more time ??
