Any chance it will come down to the wire against Florida again like 2018? They're 19 points behind us and we have 2 games in hand.

They will be a very tough out and 85 points is by no means having it wrapped up for the NJD. Still a long road ahead. FLA has had an outstanding second half, as have NYb, BUF, DET and the Senzzzzz. WSH will get it together again soon.

I thought Siegenthaler played a great game tonight. Liked seeing some physicality from him too. He wallpapered Rantanen in the first at one point and also bullied Nichushkin in the 3rd. He’s been MUCH better since his scratching and seems like the type of guy who will be a wall in the playoffs for us. He’s the perfect partner for Dougie.

The jump in his defensive game over the last three months has gone under the radar.

I said it in his rookie year but he is very Elias like in a lot of ways. Just get the kid signed already.
He will, soon. Fitz with the *wink* statement a few days ago on NHL Network.

He doesn't have to go anywhere

All 3 can stay on the roster after the deadline, as far as I know.
This season here and elsewhere in the league shows that over the course of a season you really need 3, not 2 goalies in the NHL these days. That being true, having the young pair in Utica was the key to managing the season so far in net.
