Rangers are stronger up front than NB but the bug of the bug looked very promising.
Cajokovic is a better player than I expected, but in over his head as a #4 D at this time. A solid vet LD would make it a lot better for Nelson and Christopolous, and the team considerably betterRemember the days when RD played the right side and LD covered the left side? What kind of system are they playing in their own zone. Lots of open looks for the opposition in this pond hockey style. Kennedy spends a lot of time on his butt!! Top line had a ton of chances. McIvor played well.
He looked very comfortable in net. Can't blame him for leaving Rehkopf open (twice). Solid goalieRangers are stronger up front than NB but the bug of the bug looked very promising.
Until the battalion acquire a RW that can play with VanSteensel & Arnsby now, …Denis thinks there’s potential in Cooke? If Richter, Laird & Forgione are part of the future going forward, it makes no sense to play Cooke over them. He's shown very little.

Veccia, though he is not likely to be actively shopped.Anyone you would like to see acquired at RW and what would you give up?
Online can be annoying. You should be fine buying at the door. The box office is open most game days.I'm in North Bay next week for work and would like to take the opportunity to see another OHL arena.
Going to see the Battalion play the Petes. Can I buy tickets at the arena on game day, or is online a better option?
Thanks
That's Hayes. He is just not strong. Needs to hit the gym. Don't think it was a flop.
The cost of Barlow or O.Beck to the Battalion would be a multi-year rebuild. Next season is when they realize the cost of giving up their 1st & 2nd picks of the 2021 draft. I’m not sure leaving voids in two draft years by giving up Kostuch ++ is practical for NB.So proud of the way Troops are playing ,compliments to coaching staff and management. Think we need another right winger prefurbly 2004, and we would be right there with the big boys in the league. Last night's game was a perfect example of keeping up with leaders . what would it cost for an Owen Beck from the Petes or a Colby Barlow of Owen Sound? we do have lots of assetts
Dennis was excited to add Cooke for a reason. I wonder if Cooke now realizes he can drive to the net with the puck.Nice goal by Cooke on a strong rush. Refs again very bad. Soo players are floppers...stay on your feet FGS!!
maybe RW we are looking for if he is given a chanceDennis was excited to add Cooke for a reason. I wonder if Cooke now realizes he can drive to the net with the puck.

The Battalion do need a RW. I believe NB can without extending the re-tooling period beyond next season add a 2nd-3rd tier RW & LD that are probable OAs next season.
Last night we witnessed how a good game by Therrien frees up Arnsby to be Arnsby at his best. Unfortunately, Pazii & Procsyzyn missed Therrien on the 3rd line.
Romani getting flipped? I don't see it. He and Wakely and OVS are the go to guys now up front. All likely return next year as the vet core. Romani is still an '05, do remember. If Mathurin returns, and he & Wakely do not garner top return prior to the season; yes for half a season.
I would expect Romani and top OAs be moved by the deadline for a player and picks to build around the ‘06 & ‘07.
I thought it was clear about Romani & (Wakely / top ‘04 OAs) next season being moved prior to the deadline.Romani getting flipped? I don't see it. He and Wakely and OVS are the go to guys now up front. All likely return next year as the vet core. Romani is still an '05, do remember.
A sell is a possibility. But with Christopolous, Mathurin, & Nelson; NB has a chance to contend this season. There is little to no chance next season, so a sell then makes more sense to me.I still think you see a tear down of sorts from the last year's squad. Dom and Nelson flipped for significant returns, test the market on the other guys turning pro and let the young guys run wild on their first playoff opportunity.
McIvor looks like a guy that has starter written all over him. You have to give he and Robertson an opportunity to find their footing this year. And there's plenty to look forward to at forward with a lot of the 16/17 year old guys showing well so far.
I imagine our OA returnees next year are Wakely, OVS and Mathurin.
I must've misread. I think it's a tad early to determine how they view next year's team. It's hard to prognosticate how your team's chances are looking compared to the competition a year from now. Especially if you're potentially adding one or two significant players from a future DD or Nelson deal.I thought it was clear about Romani & (Wakely / top ‘04 OAs) next season being moved prior to the deadline.
As I've mentioned before, the teams ahead of them in the East this year have a full trade chest. They haven't gone for it like the Battalion did last season. North Bay buying a second year in a row would mean a bare bones rebuild.A sell is a possibility. But with Christopolous, Mathurin, & Nelson; NB has a chance to contend this season. not really bare bones at all as NB has 19 picks in the upcoming draft, and I believe NB should have 19 picks in 2025 as well. Currently only one ‘07 plays and of the 9 signed ‘06 only 6-7 get into the line up each game.I must've misread. I think it's a tad early to determine how they view next year's team. It's possible that a few of the first year draft eligible forwards this year end up being point per game calibre forwards next season. If that's the case, the Battalion may find themselves with three capable scoring lines and a full cabinet of futures to deal from as early as next season.

They should be given every opportunity to do so as Battalion imo.Nelson and DiVincentiis are assets that you have to cash. And both of those guys deserve another shot at playing for a Memorial Cup.
