It's a pretty meh name, but I believe that the lists (maybe not 100% official lists but probably were considered) at some point over the last couple of years included some options like Presidents or Monuments, and I think those would have been worse. I kinda liked the Football Team vibe. I do usually hit up a game or two a year since I'm up this way and tickets these days are cheap, so it will be interesting to see how this branding goes.

Yea it was some realtor in the area. I don’t believe commanders were on there. It is what took so long to pick a name.

For a news cycle or two, maybe. NFL lawyers are probably negotiating with them both as we speak on condition of them being quiet. Also, no prosectuor/judge with career aspirations wants to be the person who takes on the NFL without a slam dunk case against them.
