Can't see giving up on Detroit this early in the season. They were the frontrunners coming into the season for the NFC North, and until GB and MN show consistency they still are. MN is just an injury or two away from mediocrity(i.e Darnold & JJ). I would have said the same about GB(Love), but Malik Willis has looked vg...certainly starter quality.

Both GB and MN's Defence looks good or better than good.
I would say any team that loses their starter and backup is set for mediocrity.

They were a preseason darling, which wasn't entirely unfounded. A lot of the NFL stuff I watch and/or listen to had them in the AFC championship/Super Bowl before the season (a lot of those people had the Lions in those spots as well, and they haven't been world killers so far either).

The NFL website itself had the Texans #3 in their power rankings after week 2.

I think Houston has a new OC this year, who now seems to be getting some heat. Or he was new last year. Not sure.
I think they benefit from a really mediocre division.

The colts are an extreme work in progress with Richardson.

The titans offense is a circus. Side note, I don’t think the titans run d is too bad. Their offense just puts them in horrendous spots (see: Will Levis).

The Jags? Their defense can’t hold their offense up.
I would say any team that loses their starter and backup is set for mediocrity.
I took that as Sam Darnold and Justin Jefferson and I’m not sure at all if I’m correct  It is confusing that Jefferson’s fan nickname is JJ while having JJ McCarthy at QB.

After watching Jayden Daniels play last night, some Bears fans might be wondering if the wrong player went #1.

The problem isn’t who they picked. It’s the bears coaching staff. Why did they attempt 52 passing plays to 28 running plays against one of the worst run defenses in the league. The packers showed the blueprint, but the bears coach thinks his way is better lol

It could be both. It's still early, but Caleb seems to be pretty indecisive in the pocket on passing plays. I'm hearing alot of criticism being leveled at the offensive line, but it's difficult for most offensive lines to hold their blocks for more than 3-4 seconds. At some point, Caleb needs to learn how to get rid of the ball in a more timely fashion.

I agree that Eberflus and Co. aren't doing him any favors. What happened to D'Andre Swift and the run game?

It’s certainly something that Twins fans are having a meltdown on X over the payroll cut. Milwaukee put together a division winner with *checks notes* $16M less in payroll than the Twins this current season. They cut $11M from 2023 too.

The real crux of the issue is that the MLB needs a hard cap with a floor and a ceiling. Current total payroll league wide is $5B. Split across 30 teams is $167M if each team spent the same amount. The league as a whole pulled in $11B.

How many games were played with Buxton, Correa and Lewis all in the line-up?

It’s possible depending on how you quantify it that this twins collapse is the most epic disgusting pathetic collapse in sporting history. A 95.3% chance of making the playoffs with 85% of the season complete and a comfortable lead. Eliminated mathematically with 2 games still remaining.

Didn't Atlanta have a 98% or 99% chance to win the Super Bowl at 28-3?

It's painful. Frustrating. Absolutely maddening. But we've trained for this.....it's what we do in Minnesota. It's all good.

I guess I should have been a bit more specific in stating “in season” or “end of season” collapse. I’m sure there have been single game isolated collapses that are more statistically rare.

And people don’t think there is a curse lol
