Gaurdians are smashing Pitt at the moment, so we really need to get the win tonight to keep our lead in the central.

I don't know how anyone else feels, but I really enjoy Bremer, Morneau and Plouffe together in the booth.

Yes, yes yes.

Guardians lose today, would be a sweet feeling to win tonight make that the lead back to 2.5 games.

Correa has been so disappointing this year. I had such high hopes as him with leadoff, but those dreams have been dashed.

Another good win. This team is finally looking like they can get their bats going.

Nice lead that could expand to 3 games today IF we can beat Seattle again.

Not the first, won't be the last, nobody was hurt. Hopefully he learns from this.
We've all done stupid things at that age.
If it happened earlier in the night, I’d be a bit more pissed. But deserted straight-stretch highway at 3AM is probably about the safest conditions you can speed without endangering others.

Just glad he didn’t try to flee

Kids will be dumb...
Not ideal by any means, but could have been far worse.
He should lose his license for at least six months for doing 140 in a 55mph zone.

I do find it amusing that there are posts downplaying what he did. Not surprised, just amused.

Agreed. I'm the type of guy that wants to spike strip f***ers going 50+ down my 30 mph residential suburban road. Drives me f***ing insane.

I dont agree with what he did at all because all the outcry is true he could of seriosuly hurt himself or someone else or even killed someone but all of these people speed every day to and from work, speeding is speeding at the end of the day, and i can pretty much guarantee you these cats have driven while above the legal BAC limit. Arguing about morales is always a little odd to me.

And again i dont condone what he did at all. But hes young and young people make bad decisions. What matters now is that he didnt hurt or kill anyone or himself and that he learns from his stupid mistake

SMH that a rookie would splurge on something like a Lamborghini before he's even played a single game. And we wonder why so many players end up filing for bankruptcy just a few years after their playing days are finished.
I wouldnt be too surprised if he isnt damn near set for life with the NIL. I can only imagine he made a good amount of money playing to SC his lone year. I duuno if theres a spot you can see how much theyr making but i could be wrong. But i get where youre saying.

He SHOULD be set for life, but I have my suspicions about whether he will be. Adrian Peterson earned almost $100 million during his playing career and is filing for bankruptcy. Just because someone earns a lot of money doesn't mean they know how to manage it to make it last their lifetime.

I hope I'm wrong, but it certainly looks like Addison is lacking in making smart decisions.

That $350k car cost roughly 1/10 of 1 year of pay (before taxes) for him. If a person makes $100K a year and drives a goes and buys a $10k used car nobody would really think twice about it.

Could he have spent the money smarter? For sure, but it is his money and it is also something that isn't living beyond him means.

1 year of pay on a 4 year contract. The difference is that most people not playing professional sports can expect to be earning a consistent (and increasing) salary over their entire working career (40+ years) until they retire. The average career of an NFLer is something like 3-5 years.

Look at a player like Gronk. He didn't spend a nickel of his NFL salary during his playing days. He invested it all smartly and lived off only his endorsement deals...that way he knew that when his playing days were over, there was a large pot of money waiting for him that had been compounding interest for years.

Gronk's strategy was unique, for sure. But it would be smarter for Addison to think that the ~$24 million contract he signed needs to last him for around 60 years, and live accordingly (conservatively about $400k/year + endorsements). If he is able to sign a next contract, he can adjust....and so on. That's what I would do, anyways.

Never knew that. Funny, because his public persona is that of a lovable, mildly dopey guy who was hit in the head too many times.
Going way back, Eddie Shack was similar. Illiterate, and a goon who never made much NHL money, but was a tireless self promoter, and ended up being a well to do businessman.

Marshawn Lynch did the same thing. Extremely smart business move by them.
