Worst part about this loss is the Lions gave us 2 extra lives. First when they had the opportunity to run out the clock yet committed B2B false start and delay of game penalties, putting them behind the chains and leading to a punt. Then on Mullens' fumble they should've just fallen on it to run out the clock rather than trying to pick it up. allowing JJ to recover it the play before his big 3rd and 27 conversion.

Not to mention the dropped pick Mullens almost had as well as when he almost fumbled it in the first half. Start Hall next week. Looking forward to seeing what QB we draft in 2024.

The worst part of the loss is all the important players injured.

The Vikings will keep Dobbs, Hall, then cut Mullens...who will then get picked up and go on to have HOF career.

Hall isn't going anywhere. I'd move on from Mullens. The guy just has no feel for the deep ball at all.

He just threw 411 yards. Some of those throws today were the best I had seen from any of our QBs all yr.

So you'd keep Hall and Cousins? Or draft another?

He also threw 4 brutally bad ints. He's a known journeyman for a reason.

Yes on keeping Hall. Yes on drafting another.
As for Kirk, he's not getting any younger... if he's willing to be a short term bridge on a cheaper deal, I'm open to negotiating, but he's coming off an Achilles injury. He's going to be 36 next season. We need to be getting ready for the next QB.

And another that was dropped.

Jaire Alexander suspended 1 game for "conduct detrimental to the team." Inserted himself as a captain last week against Carolina, Charlotte is his hometown I guess, and almost screwed up the coin toss call.

I hope that O'Connell is making these QB decisions himself and not because of fan pressure.
This is about learning if Hall is more than a journeyman.
Both Mullens and Dobbs have traveled across the league for years because that's all they are. They have proven it several times over before they got here.

lol wasn't it a 7th rounder or something like that? It was worth the gamble.
Tom Brady was drafted in the 7th Rd 😉

But seriously, I see the Vikes' losing this weekend. Then I guess they're officially out. Do we move on from oconell? Maybe they'll promote DC to head coach

Why the heck would we move off of a young promising offensive minded HC after year 2? You know how hard it is to win games in the NFL let alone with a backup QBs? Robert Sakeh aint winning games with their backups, but Daboll is whos a offensive guy. But yeah lets fire him for defensive minded HC in 2023 who couldnt get along with Tua and made him look like a bust at QB. All but like 2 teams in the playoffs right now have offensive minded HC,
