Seems to be a lot to love, but personally, I didn’t love his game.
I’m sure there’s no love lost between him and his receivers. Yet, this was Vikings-Packers, and all is fair in love and war.
I loved this post. All the love in this Love post.
This is what true love is but yet I want to know what love is.

Half of those are poor throws or good defensive plays.
I count two bad throws. I didn’t really see anything that screamed good defensive play outside of the interception. Reed should have caught the ball and had more fight to hold onto it too. Definitely wasn’t Love’s fault. Watson should be able to go up and get jump balls. Yeah, he had his hand knocked by the defensive player, but he should be better. That dude is 6’4”. He’s so soft compared to last year. He gets touched and he expects a pass interference call. Adams would have caught that for a touchdown.

The game started with Jones and Musgrave dropping perfect passes that would have been 1st downs. Just a perfect way to set the tone…

Edit: I missed the one down the sideline that was nearly picked. That was an excellent defensive play call and execution.

Well, vikings fans, thoughts on Jordan Love. Is he the problem in Green Bay?
My opinion is that Love is not good. He's definitely not in the bottom tier of QBs in the league, but he is not in the top half either. The receivers aren't helping, but man does he badly miss some throws.

Eh he's a decent backup. They did work him out earlier this season

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikings signed a depth quarterback.....but I don't think they will bring in a new QB to start, at least right away as they would need a few weeks to learn the playbook.

I still think they should just roll with Hall this week for sure. I believe Nick Mullens will come off IR next week and he could be a possibility. But given that the Vikings drafted Hall, I say let's see what, if any, potential he might have before running out aging back-up quarterbacks who we all know will have no future with this team.

Im also interested in seeing how KOC does with a rookie QB. A good preview or showing of what we should expect or see when we draft Kirks replacement.

That's like best case scenario if you're trying to stay competitive. Give up no draft capital for a guy that could win games on a terrible Arizona team.

Edit: Well.. he won a game... haha. thought they had more than 1 win

Meh... what was the cost?

6th round pick... which they then picked up one of in the below trade...

Josh Dobbs won't get the start for the Arizona Cardinals this week, but he might have a chance for the Minnesota Vikings.

The Cardinals are trading Dobbs and a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Vikings in exchange for a 2024 sixth-rounder, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday. The teams have since announced the trade.

Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said on SiriusXM that rookie Jaren Hall is likely to start against the Atlanta Falcons, but there is a shot Dobbs could play.

Also, goodbye Cleveland. Risner is a significantly better player

My guess would be that Hall gets the Atlanta game anyway. If he's good, maybe he gets more starts. If he's not, then Dobbs plays the next week.

O'Connell has already stated that Hall likely starts this week. As you said though, depending how he plays, he may/may not earn another start after. We'll see.

I will say, this option I like better than all of the other "bring in a QB from outside" options. Gives Hall an opportunity to run with it if he can. If he can't? This is a guy who could at least be backup moving forward if they see fit as they get working on another QB.
Another backup QB upgrade. Better than Mullens IMO.

Also, just found out, we traded a 6th for Dobbs AND a conditional 7th.
So combined with the Cleveland trade, we gained a pick.

The Vikings traded a 2024 sixth-round pick to acquire Dobbs while the Cardinals sent a 2024 seventh-round pick to Minnesota as part of the deal. There are conditions that would possibly turn the seventh-round pick the Cardinals sent the Vikings into a sixth-round pick, according to ESPN.
I'm guessing the condition would be playing time. If he doesn't end up starting, then it becomes a 6th or something would be my guess,

I feel like I didn't gain anything from reading that article. Zero substance. Actually blamed Love for the interception where Reed had it ripped out of his hands. I’m sorry, if the ball hits your receivers hands then the interception is not on the quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers would be throwing an absolute hissy fit if his receivers dropped most of these passes. Aaron Jones, Musgrave, Wicks, Doubs, the Reed interception. All had at least one drop, being a pass they should have caught (not over/under thrown), that would have been a 1st down play. Watson is a shell of himself from last after coming back from his hamstring injury.

It’s a running theme amongst Packer podcasts that it’s tough to even evaluate Love because of the level of incompetence from his receivers.

After watching that clip alone, I’d say his supporting cast is definitely bringing him down. I’m glad to see he isn’t looking elite but I don’t feel he is as garbage as his stat line appears to be for that game.

I'd say that there was excellent defense on about 3 of those balls, one was overthrown( I think, it's hard to say without watching the entire route), one underthrown. A receiver with strong hands and better shielding technique will catch some of those contested balls, but many will not. For all that GB has been spoiled by great QB's over the years, Vikes have been spoiled by great receivers. Not all teams are blessed as we are with the likes of Diggs, JJ, Thielen, Moss, Carter. Many teams will have drops like that, especially if the ball arrives a bit late, a bit low, a bit high, etc.

I agree however for as long as I can remember Iv been taught if I can get a hand on the ball it’s catchable, if we got two hands on it?? Better be caught no matter if you had to go lower for it or jump over someone. If you had both hands on the ball what’s the excuse for dropping it??

Newcastle with a surprising 3-0 win at Old Trafford. And that was with NUFC playing a bunch of benchwarmers, some of who hadn't started a game in 3 years or so. Ten Hag's job is hanging from a thread - his players aren't really trying at this point.
