Just nvm…I'm old enough to remember watching Payton torching GB as the Bears RB. He's still the guy I think of when I hear Bears RB, Sanders is the same way with DET.

Just saw that. Devastating, both for the Jets, and Rodgers. Achilles are tough to come back from, especially in a sport like football or soccer. At least in hockey, your foot is protected by a very stiff boot.Rodgers out for the season. That’s brutal for the Jets.

More like a used PS4, but new to you. It's like getting a new computer/ps5 for x-mas then dropping and breaking it while taking it to your room.
I find it funny people are trying to blame the turf for this. J.K. Dobbins had the same injury this weekend on grass.
In football, no matter the surface, you wear gear that gives you the best footing. Are they going to ban wearing cleats on grass then too?
Agreed. The artificial turf used by most team (including the Vikings) is light years better than it was in the '70s-'90's. And as you said, players also get hurt on natural grass, especially on new sod or rain soaked fields. Injuries like this can be just freak accidents and no one can say that if MetLife Field had natural grass that this injury wouldn't have happened.
The numbers are higher. That’s the point. Though I don’t expect Vikings fans to agree with the point since they use almost the exact same turf as MetLife. What I read from the numbers is the rate of incidence isn't much higher on artificial turf vs grass. Do you have the stats from the '70-'90's? My bet is the difference is quite a bit more.
I believe the point of bringing it up was that people are perpetuating that artificial turf vs grass is being exacerbated by the difference that was present 70s-90sThe numbers are higher. 70s through the 90s are so irrelevant. Why that’s even a point being made in this thread just shows how out of touch people can be. “No need to improve now because it’s better now than it was 50 years ago”
Still irrelevant. The graph shows that in 2022 you were 37% more likely to get injured playing on turf. That's not insignificant.I believe the point of bringing it up was that people are perpetuating that artificial turf vs grass is being exacerbated by the difference that was present 70s-90s
0.005 difference. The numbers are higher. That’s the point. Though I don’t expect Vikings fans to agree with the point since they use almost the exact same turf as MetLife.

Try again.0.005 difference.
This incident? Would likely turn out the same on grass.
Want to talk non-contact injuries? Then I'll argue in favor of grass. Not in this full contact incident though.
Same injury on grass this weekend
I think he's going heels over head. The point really went over your head.
My point is, you can only really compare non-contact injuries to begin with. The point really went over your head.

Saw that, am very intrigued to know if stuff is just dumbed down since it’s a new defense in year one. Hopefully they can complicate the adjustments better moving forward.Vikings defense reportedly had signals stolen vs. Buccaneers
If the signals were stolen (which is certainly worrisome), 20 points and 242 yards isn't too bad of a performancewww.yahoo.com
Apparently the Flores Defense is overly simple to read according to Mayfield.
Not stolen signals like the headline says though.
