If his text messages are real, he will be cut before the end of the week.

Seeing some pictures...not good.
Link?

In these situations, I always find it difficult on who to believe. I've had first hand experience of my buddy 6'2" and 230lbs getting detained for domestic abuse. After the true story came out, they were fighting. She decided to hit him and if I remember correctly, even threatened him with a knife. He called the cops. He was taken away.

To be clear, this is not to say that Cook is guilty or innocent, just that our justice system doesn't always take the correct course of action, in my eyes.

EDIT: On another note; is Rodgers one of the biggest pieces of shit or nah?
"I take full responsibility for what I said" -- Who else would take responsibility for it!?

the statement his lawyers made said she broke into his house and held him and 2 guests hostage for hours with a gun before the assault happened (which was self defense, castle doctrine). If this is true, there are witnesses and this will go nowhere.

I read that pepper spray was/were involved and used on Cook and possibly his guests.

towards the bottom it states she armed herself with a firearm

In this article, it says she used mace before grabbing the firearm:
Suit accuses Cook of assault; RB denies claims

She accused Cook of giving her "a concussion, leaving a scar on my face and taking me through hell," according to the Star Tribune. The newspaper said that, according to the suit, she used Mace on him before going into his bedroom, grabbing his gun and calling a friend for help, leading the running back to attack her with a broomstick, she alleged.

Really just semantics. Trying to fill in the whole story as it comes to light and not every article rehashes what's been said.

Maybe it's not a case of one totally innocent victim and one totally evil perpetrator, but really a messy, emotional situation where both parties were at fault to some extent? It NEVER looks good when a women gets beaten- I was brought up to never touch a woman- but you can't deny that she has had training in handling herself with both weapons and unarmed combat.

:dunno:

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how the Vikings handle this moving forward.
It's a civil case not a criminal case... makes a HUGE difference in what the team/ league can do in the first place.

Also, it sounds like Cooke has witnesses to her not only assaulting him, but them as well after she broke into his place.

I'm going to let this play out more before I judge Cooke on this one.

There was a report that they almost settled Tuesday till cook backed out when he saw she wanted millions. Unsure on the facts of it though.

Fleck has to move in from Tanner Morgan after this week. Atrocious. And the decisions they made in this game in general were bad, so many questionable play calls, that long field goal made no sense as their kicker sucks giving them perfect field position. Frustrating all around.

Fleck makes Zimmer look like he knows something about coaching

The Vikes shot themselves in the foot and set themselves up for failure with the atrocious play calling in the first half.

They never enter a game looking to impose their will... if they think they are playing a weak opponent, instead of tying to pt the game out of reach early to make sure it's never in doubt, they start playing the clock right away, get conservative and play away from their own strengths and in the process, let the Lions off the hook defensively.... refused to take advantage of one of the few secondaries worse than their own.

They ultimately lost and have been losing all year because they have one of the worst GMs in sport currently.

Zimmer has a big input into decisions, also. I think it's time for both to go. Zimmer's ideas are outdated, and Spielman hasn't had a good O line here, ever. He's had some huge gets in the draft, though.

He's had some huge gets in the draft, though.

His misses far out-weigh the good. And that ignores the overall roster construction.

If it wasn’t for Zimmer and his ability to build an actual defense out of scraps, he would have been out of a job long ago.
