I don't see it, but as a shake up, what do you guys think for tomorrow??

Ladd- Little- Seto
Kane- Scheif- Wheeler
Halischuk- Jokinen- Frolik
Tangradi- Slater- Wright

Doubt it, but it could be what we need.

Honestly, I just want to see our top 3 lines stay the way they are. They have all shown chemistry and are sound in makeup. I would also like to see the D pairs start and finish the same with no friggin juggling. I would drop Byfuglien down to the 3rd pair, scratch Stuart and dress Postma. Put Trouba and Enstrom together, Bogo and Clitsome and Buff and Postma on the 3rd pair. Make Byfuglien earn his ice time back.

Ya, its just frustrating with Ladd, and Wheelers play. Kane is struggling but meh. I just think they need to find a way to get Scheif and Seto's icetime up a little bit. Playing them 10-13 minutes a game is not good, when Wright, Tangradi are playing the same, no offence to those 2.

Were 2-2 don't think a coaching change or a change at the GM is whAts needed at the moment. If were a .500 hockey team by January I still don't think you see any changes. Still have confidence in this team this weekend will be a good test. If we can come out with 2 wins were 4-2 and all is well right

Wine, wine, wine, wine:cry:.............5 pages of people complaining...........I am going to be the only Guy here ( you girly-girls) to have P.M.A. ( a positve mental attitude). The Jets are going to win the next 3 home games against Dallas, N.J. and Montreal and have a 5-2 record ......... make the playoffs and coach Noel will win the Jack Adams this year.

The Jets will surprise the faithful tomorrow night with a huge back end of a back to back win, especially when it is not expected.

500 more vCash to bet on the game. A win is on the way.

Not here to troll but just giving my opinion as I have suffered through many years of watching mediocre top 6 forward groups. I don't think that top 6 will get it done anytime soon as none have actually solidified that they are legit first liners (Kane should be) especially with Chicago and Minnesota having big time top 6's and Av's looking like they have a great young group of forwards already at the NHL. I really like your top 4 D on paper but St. Louis and Chicago boast great D too. Just my 2 cents.

The Wheeler-Kane duo had been tried and failed. I'd like to see Wheeler earn his way back to LLW, or not, get someone who can at least be useful on the ice more:

Kane-Little-Setoguchi
Ladd-Scheifele-Frolik
Tangradi-Jokinen-Wheeler

Top 3 and Heatley, basically a PP specialist now. I know Coyle is out, but that 2nd line was hardly a threat tonight.

Soooooo, just because we don't all blindly say he's the greatest, we're haters? OK, gotcha.

Pavelec has been very good in his first 4 starts. Awesome. It's a start.

If Noel starts Pavs tomorrow I am going to **** bricks

No idea why you're blindly assuming he's talking about you. He didn't specify anyone at all, and I don't even see the point in responding in the first place. We can't fault Pavs in any game so it's pointless to even bring it up.

Yes, if Noel does start Pavs, I will be seriously questioning his ability to learn, adjust, and adapt. Unless of course Pavs puts up a great game. But no one really expects it. Give Montoya the dam start.

I don't really buy the talent/"flawed core" argument.

This team has a legitimate first line. It has the making of a decent second line (potentially very good second line if Scheifele can ascend). It has three talented (albeit flawed, in their own way) blueliners, and a fourth in Trouba who should be joining their ranks in no time.

Depth is a problem, but honestly, the margins between teams with great 3rd/4th lines and teams with poor 3rd/4th lines is pretty thin. Goaltending typically isn't good, but as we've seen through four games, solid goaltending isn't getting us very far.

It's beginning to point to one thing.

Albeit a below average NHL first line, a second line (aside from Kane) that is really a third line, a third line that is really an NHL fourth line and another weaker fourth line.

On D a mini D man who can get the puck of his own end when the opposition is not near him, a lumbering D man that once held a lot of potential, a D man not sure how to really play D, Trouba, 2011 Clitsome and the number 6 guy now too slow for the NHL.

Goaltending has been spot on, one day the backup may play.

:help:

Well they did have 8 shots compared to all Jets forwards combining for 9 shots tonight. It is a fair statement though as Granlund and Nino haven't established themelves either.

I hope Seto thrives in the Peg. He's got a great shot and wheels but can't seem to create plays on his own. Find him someone who can feed him the puck consistenly and he'll put up 30 again.

I'm really starting to wonder if it really is the coaching that is the problem. last year our team was horrible on the power play and now theres progress because they actually changed to something that works. but I just don't get it.

Yes, we need a couple creative players to feed the other guys the puck. Absolutely no creativity on this team. We need our own Adam Oates.

Nic Petan comes to mind. If only he were ready now.

Or, maybe all their creativity has been coached out of them already.

Rest of team was either passable or **** bricks

EDIT:
Wasn't including Pav's... he's been solid.
Jets last 2 seasons were league average in almost everything but bottom 5 in ES SV% last season
This season Jets are bottom 5 in everything but league avg in ES SV%

UGH can't seem to get both right.

I don't know why Ladd is getting heat, IMHO he's put out solid efforts for just about every game and has 2g, 1a, +3. He hasn't been a Hertl, but from what I observe, he's playing alright. Getting the greasy goals, being physical, working hard etc.

I agree that he's working hard - he always does.

Ladd struggles when he makes poor decisions with the puck. An example tonight was when he turned over the puck at the Wild blue line and then took a holding penalty. Early in the season in 2011 he had some problems with making the safe passes, getting the puck deep. I'm sure he'll correct that and the line will turn things around, but so far Little has been the only consistent performer on that line.

Any insights as to why Frolik is getting very little PK time, without having that made up with ES TOI? I think he's been playing well, and I had hoped that we would see him more on the PK. He was a key cog in the 'Hawks PK last year.

Watched the first two periods before I dozed off.... Apparently I didn't miss much. Very disappointing effort as a team tonight. Without Pavs we are 0-4. :shakehead

The main issue I have with what I'm seeing, apart from effort not really being there, is systems and cohesion within our team. It's so frustrating to see every time when we're on the power play players rushing then having to stop at the blue line because the puck carrier can't time a dump in. Then they dump it in. While everyone is at a standstill. It's incredible how many dump and chases we lose. It's incredible how we can't break out of our zone. It's incredible that we often can't even send or receive a pass.

I've been watching quite a few games not involving the Jets and it's amazing how much more in tune every team is than us. Watching Toronto it feels like Troy Bodie is better than all of our forwards just because he wins a dump and chase battle sometimes and actually knows how to be open for a breakout pass and knows where his linemates are in the offensive zone and can get the puck to them and just overall looks in sync with his team. It's amazing. And for the record I am in no way saying that Troy Bodie would be our best forward if he was here, I'm saying that their system and cohesion as a team makes almost every single one of their players, even their worst player in Troy Bodie, look better than our best. And I don't know where the blame should lie if not in coaching.

I know that there are people who think it's too early to be talking about it, but in my mind it's been 2+ seasons of this, not just these 4 games, and we certainly don't deserve the 2-2 record that we do have. Something needs to change and in my opinion it should be coaching.

This team is on the edge of becoming a really bad team. Really bad. This isn't a new core either, this maybe be year 3 as the Jets but this is year 5 at least of this core.

It's 4 games in. This team is also on the edge of becoming a good team. It's too early to hit the panic button. Swap Wheeler and Frolik (to demote Wheeler) but otherwise leave the lines alone. This team has had a lot of turnover - let them develop some chemistry beyond the top line.

after the two turds laid vs the Wild and Ducks, i'm concerned that i'll have to confirm to my wife, who will also be at the game, that yes, she is right, hockey is a really boring game.
