That fourth Boston goal was just strange, I was half-convinced that there was a whistle I hadn't heard. It was like the entire Jets team just stopped playing, Bogosian in particular.

Boston never seemed that concerned once they made it 3-1. They let up big time after Soderberg's goal, playing it real cozy.

Did Thorburn have a death wish? I wanted to cover my eyes when he squared off with Chara. Handled himself pretty good, all things considered.

Pavelec is a rebound machine who overplays 80% of shots. I honestly think Pavelec makes defences look bad as much as they make him look bad. You never know where the ****ing puck is going to end up after a shot.

Very ****** day in sports so far with the acception of Sweden beating the evil empire. Jets getting off to their 2012 New Years start. So I PVR'd two games and am going to end up watching 30 minutes of hockey today!

Could care less who wins in the NFL but am looking forward to the games.

:help:

Colts or Chiefs, ps?

I'm going Colts, at home.

I sure hope one of our goaltending prospects becomes a NHL stud because the sooner we can rid ourselves of Pavelec the sooner this team can compete. Maybe we win the draft lottery and get ourselves a top 3 pick.

I will say one thing that is concerning is the play of Trouba lately. Not sure if its rookie bumps or if its bad culture rubbing off him. He sees vets giving up pucks, missed assignments, etc etc is it a case of monkey sees monkeys does. Hate for them to ruin him cause of idiot coaching.

Win the lottery - allows you to pick first.

I'll take a top 5 pick.

Our chances didn't go in, and theirs did. That's hockey. Stat line looks okay, difference was defence and goaltending. How much of each we can argue, but neither was as good as Boston's tonight.

For all the Pavelec bashers. Who are you trying to convince? I'm sure this forum is at least 84%. The TSN Jets crowd is 84%. I don't know what the point of the argument is. Pav is not an elite goalie but we're stuck with him. Can't we cheer for him even if he sucks? We're all Jets fans first right?

Yup we are stuck with him, does'nt mean he he has to play 60+ games!

Agreed. The Jets generated enough chances to win, the Bruins just had as many and capitalized on theirs.

The Jets & Team Canada losing on the same day at the exact same time is sh*tty.

Some of the hicks that call in to the 1290 show I am not even sure how they can even dial the phone number because they probably have to take off their shoes to count that high.

Trading Kane would be foolish. Next year Scheifele will be so much better in my opinion as it pertains to development and Kane will score over 30 goals on a line with Scheifele.
